You can now use version 4.0.2 of the MapR Distribution including Apache Hadoop in HAQM EMR. All editions of this MapR release are supported: Community Edition (M3), Enterprise Edition (M5), and Enterprise Database Edition (M7). These versions are the first MapR releases on HAQM EMR that include Apache Hadoop 2 and YARN for resource management. Version 4.0.2 of the MapR Distribution also contains updated releases of MapR-FS and MapR-DB in the M3 and M7 Editions, and continues to offer the MapR high availability and enhanced disaster recovery feature set in the M5 and M7 Editions. Version 4.0.2 of the MapR Distribution is only supported with HAQM EMR AMI version 3.3.2.
