HAQM EC2 Systems Manager can now send inventory data to HAQM S3 buckets, enabling data queries and visualization across multiple accounts and regions.
Previously, you had to create custom scripts to send inventory data to HAQM S3 buckets. Now you can select an HAQM S3 bucket and automatically send and aggregate inventory data from multiple accounts and regions. By syncing software inventory to HAQM S3, you can run HAQM Athena queries to gain greater inventory insight, such as understanding application use or reviewing application version compliance. You can also use HAQM QuickSight to visualize your software inventory, enabling you to drill down into queries in a point-and-click fashion. Inventory data synced in HAQM S3 will remain even after the instance is terminated.
Systems Manager is available in all regions.
