HAQM RDS now offers SQL Server Enterprise Edition License Included in all AWS commercial regions (non-governmental regions) and on additional instance types, R3 and M4, with a minimum of 4 vCPUs.
In the License Included service model, you do not need separately purchased SQL Server licenses. HAQM RDS pricing includes the software license, the underlying hardware resources and all database management capabilities. Simply launch a SQL Server Enterprise Edition instance in the AWS Management Console and select the License Included option.
HAQM RDS is also reducing the price of R3 instances running SQL Server Enterprise License Included by up to 15% in the US East (Northern Virginia), US West (Oregon) and EU (Ireland) regions. See HAQM RDS for SQL Server Pricing for the new prices and complete region list.
