HAQM Macie is a security service that uses machine learning to automatically discover, classify, and protect sensitive data in AWS. HAQM Macie recognizes sensitive data such as personally identifiable information (PII) or intellectual property, and provides you with dashboards and alerts that give visibility into how this data is being accessed or moved.
Today, HAQM Macie is available to protect data stored in HAQM Simple Storage Service (HAQM S3), with support for additional AWS data stores coming later this year.
To get started with Macie, simply log in to the Macie console, run the provided CloudFormation templates to configure the necessary IAM roles and policies in your account, and select which S3 buckets to protect. Learn more about Macie and supported use cases by reading our blog and Documentation.
