HAQM WorkDocs users can now share files from Microsoft Windows with a single click.
You can browse, upload, and share files stored anywhere on your local drive, directly from Windows File Explorer without any additional manual steps. From Windows File Explorer you can also get links to shared files that you can share with co-workers using your preferred collaboration tools. The new 1-click file sharing experience makes it easy to upload and share content in HAQM WorkDocs from any Microsoft Windows PC.
To use this feature, the HAQM WorkDocs Companion application should be installed on your Microsoft Windows PC. To get started, right click on the file in Windows File Explorer, select HAQM WorkDocs Companion menu and choose Share. HAQM WorkDocs will upload the file to your HAQM WorkDocs site, and share the file using a public share link that can be viewed by other users of your HAQM WorkDocs site. The share link is also copied to the local clipboard of your Microsoft Windows PC so that you can share it with co-workers using your collaboration tool of choice.
You can also create a passcode protected share link by selecting Share with passcode, in which case a 4 digit passcode is generated along with the share link. The passcode is also copied to the local clipboard of your Windows PC along with the share link. Co-workers will need to provide the passcode when accessing the file using the share link.
