HAQM DocumentDB is a fast, scalable, highly available, and fully managed document database service that supports MongoDB workloads.
You can now enable deletion protection for your HAQM DocumentDB clusters to help you prevent against accidental deletion of a cluster. When a cluster is configured with deletion protection, the cluster cannot be deleted by any user. Deletion protection is available for HAQM DocumentDB in all supported regions.
Deletion protection is now enabled by default in the HAQM DocumentDB management console. You can also turn on or off deletion protection for an existing cluster with a few clicks in the HAQM DocumentDB management console or using the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI). Deletion protection is enforced by management console and AWS CLI.
