HAQM Simple Email Service (HAQM SES) customers can now receive event notifications when the delivery of an email is delayed because of a temporary issue. Previously, if the delivery of an email was temporarily delayed (for example, if the recipient’s inbox was full, or if there was a temporary problem with the receiving email server), HAQM SES would send an event notification after SES’ retry attempts failed.

With this launch, you can configure HAQM SES to send event notifications to HAQM Simple Notification Service (HAQM SNS), HAQM CloudWatch, or HAQM Kinesis Data Firehose, immediately after the delivery delay occurs. Event notifications include information such as the delay type, the date and time when the delay occurred, and the date and time when HAQM SES will stop trying to redeliver the message. To learn more about event notifications in HAQM SES, see Monitoring using event publishing in the HAQM SES Developer Guide.

HAQM SES is a reliable, cost-effective, cloud-based email service designed to help digital marketers and application developers send marketing, notification, and transactional emails. To learn more about HAQM SES, visit here.
