Starting today, HAQM Augmented AI (HAQM A2I) is a HIPAA eligible service. HAQM Augmented AI makes it easy to build the workflows required for human review of ML predictions. HIPPA eligibility applies to AWS Regions where the service is available and means you can use HAQM A2I to help you add human review of Protected Health Information (PHI) to power your healthcare workflows through your private workforce.

If you have a HIPAA Business Associate Addendum (BAA) in place with AWS, you can now start using HAQM Augmented AI for your HIPAA eligible workloads. If you don't have a BAA in place with AWS, or if you have any other questions about running HIPAA-regulated workloads on AWS, please contact us. For information and best practices about configuring AWS HIPAA Eligible Services to store, process, and transmit PHI, see the Architecting for HIPAA Security and Compliance on HAQM Web Services Whitepaper.

HAQM Augmented AI (HAQM A2I) makes it easy to build the workflows required for human review of ML predictions. HAQM A2I brings human review to all developers, removing the undifferentiated heavy lifting associated with building human review systems or managing large numbers of human reviewers. Many healthcare customers like Change Healthcare, EPL Innovative Solutions and partners like TensorIoT are already exploring new ways to use the power of machine learning to automate their current workloads and transform how they provide care to patients, and can leverage AWS services to help them meet their compliance needs under HIPAA.
