AWS Backup adds support for HAQM FSx file systems, automating policy-based backup and restore capabilities for HAQM FSx as well as streamlining compliance and data protection for HAQM FSx customers. You can now create, manage, and restore HAQM FSx backups directly from the AWS Backup console for both HAQM FSx for Windows File Server and HAQM FSx for Lustre file systems.
Using AWS Backup, you apply backup plans to AWS resources, which now include HAQM FSx file systems. AWS Backup plans make it easy to standardize backup policies across AWS services and ensure protection of application data. Getting started is as simple as enabling HAQM FSx backups in the AWS Backup console, creating a backup plan, and assigning an HAQM FSx file system, either via tags or by directly listing the ARN.
