HAQM Simple Notification Service (HAQM SNS) now publishes metrics at 1-minute resolution to HAQM CloudWatch, providing granular monitoring for HAQM SNS standard and FIFO topics. Previously, HAQM SNS published metrics to HAQM CloudWatch in 5-minute resolution.
HAQM SNS is a fully managed publish/subscribe (pub/sub) messaging service for both application-to-application (A2A) and application-to-person (A2P) communications. HAQM CloudWatch is a monitoring and observability service that provides you with data and actionable insights to monitor your applications, respond to system-wide performance changes, optimize resource utilization, and get a unified view of operational health.
HAQM SNS and HAQM CloudWatch are integrated so you can collect, view, and analyze metrics for every active HAQM SNS topic. For example, using HAQM CloudWatch you can view a graph showing the number of messages published to a given topic. Once you have configured HAQM CloudWatch for HAQM SNS, you can gain better insight into the performance of your HAQM SNS topics.
There is no action needed on your part to begin taking advantage of HAQM CloudWatch metrics with 1-minute resolution. This feature is automatically available for all existing and new HAQM SNS topics at no additional cost in all AWS regions.
