Starting today, you can access HAQM Elastic File System (HAQM EFS) file systems from your HAQM EC2 Mac instances running macOS Big Sur. You can now mount your HAQM EFS file systems on your instances by using the HAQM EFS client, an open source toolset, installed using the Homebrew package manager. You can also mount your HAQM EFS file systems on your instances using the macOS native NFS client version 4.0. To learn more about mounting HAQM EFS file systems on EC2 Mac instances, see the HAQM EFS documentation.
HAQM EFS provides a simple, serverless, set-and-forget elastic file system for use with AWS compute services. You can use HAQM EFS with your HAQM EC2 Mac instances to build, test, and publish your applications faster by sharing code repositories. Access to HAQM EFS file systems from EC2 Mac instances running macOS Big Sur instances is available in all AWS Regions where EC2 Mac instances are available.
