The HAQM Chime SDK lets developers add real-time audio, video, screen-sharing, and messaging capabilities to their web or mobile applications. HAQM Lex provides automatic speech recognition and natural language understanding technologies so you can build conversational interfaces. Today we are launching the HAQM Chime SDK integration with HAQM Lex, enabling builders to develop conversational interfaces for calls to or from the public telephone network. With this integration, you can now easily create conversational experiences in contact centers that use Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for voice communications.
Developers can use HAQM Chime SDK to access HAQM Lex bots to deliver a sophisticated experience for self-service capabilities, such as virtual contact center agents and interactive voice response solutions. With just a few lines of code, developers can now support HAQM Lex for contact centers that use SIP.
HAQM Chime SDK integration with HAQM Lex is available in US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) AWS regions.
