Following the announcement of updates in MySQL database versions 5.7 and 8.0, we have updated HAQM Relational Database Service (HAQM RDS) for MySQL to support MySQL minor versions 5.7.38, and 8.0.29.
We recommend that you upgrade to the latest minor versions to fix known security vulnerabilities in prior versions of MySQL, and to benefit from the numerous bug fixes, performance improvements, and new functionality added by the MySQL community. Learn more about upgrading your database instances in the HAQM RDS User Guide, and create or update a fully managed HAQM RDS database using the latest available minor versions in the HAQM RDS Management Console.
