Today, HAQM Elastic Container Service (HAQM ECS) has announced the availability of additional metadata attributes for tasks running on HAQM EC2 capacity. You can now use the HAQM ECS task metadata endpoint to retrieve the service name of a task as well as the HAQM VPC ID of HAQM EC2 instance that the task is running on. These additional task metadata attributes provide you increased visibility over your ECS container workloads running on HAQM EC2.
The additional task metadata attributes are available to all HAQM ECS customers in all AWS Regions where HAQM ECS is available. To learn more, refer to HAQM ECS task metadata endpoint documentation.
