AWS DataSync support for copying data to and from Azure Blob Storage is now generally available. Using DataSync, you can move your object data at scale between Azure Blob Storage and AWS Storage services such as HAQM S3. AWS DataSync supports writing to block blobs and can read from all blob types within Azure Blob Storage. It can also be used with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Gen 2.
AWS DataSync gives customers a purpose-built service to accelerate data transfers. It simplifies and automates copying large amounts of data to and from on-premises storage, edge locations, other cloud providers, and AWS Storage services. AWS DataSync integrates with HAQM CloudWatch and HAQM EventBridge for easy monitoring of metrics, logs, and events. It also compresses data before transit, identifies only the objects that have changed and need to be copied, and automatically recovers from network interruptions. In addition to Azure Blob Storage, DataSync supports Google Cloud Storage and Azure Files storage locations as well as Network File System (NFS) shares, Server Message Block (SMB) shares, Hadoop Distributed File Systems (HDFS), self-managed object storage, AWS Snowcone, HAQM Simple Storage Service (HAQM S3), HAQM Elastic File System (HAQM EFS), and all HAQM FSx file systems.
AWS DataSync support for Azure Blob Storage is available in all AWS Regions, except the China (Beijing) and the China (Ningxia) Regions.
