AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS) has added HAQM Relational Database Service (RDS) Db2 to its supported target endpoints. This update streamlines the migration of self managed Db2 workloads to HAQM RDS for Db2. As a managed service, HAQM RDS for Db2 simplifies the setup, operation, and scaling of Db2 databases in the cloud.
AWS DMS supports both full load and Change Data Capture (CDC) migration modes for HAQM RDS Db2. Full Load migration copies all of the data from the source database to HAQM RDS for Db2. CDC copies only the data that has changed since the last migration.
To migrate your data to HAQM RDS Db2, you can use the AWS DMS console, AWS CLI, or AWS SDKs. To learn more, refer to using HAQM RDS Db2 as a target for AWS DMS.
