Today, AWS announces the general availability of HAQM Q Business and the preview of HAQM Q Apps, a new HAQM Q Business capability. HAQM Q Business revolutionizes the way that employees interact with organizational knowledge and enterprise systems. It helps users get comprehensive answers to complex questions and take actions in a unified, intuitive web-based chat experience—all using an enterprise’s existing content, data, and systems. HAQM Q Business connects seamlessly to over 40 popular enterprise systems, including HAQM Simple Storage Service (HAQM S3), Microsoft 365, and Salesforce. It ensures that users access content securely with their existing credentials using single sign-on, according to their permissions, and enterprise-level access controls.
HAQM Q Apps empowers organizational users to quickly turn their ideas into apps, all in a single step from their conversation with HAQM Q Business or by describing the app that they want to build in natural language. With HAQM Q Apps, users can effortlessly build, share, and customize apps on enterprise data to streamline tasks and boost individual and team productivity. Users can also publish apps to the admin-managed library and share them with their coworkers. HAQM Q Apps inherit user permissions, access controls, and enterprise guardrails from HAQM Q Business for secure sharing and adherence to data governance policies.
HAQM Q Business is also introducing custom plugins. Admins can connect any third-party application with custom plugins so that employees can use natural language prompts to perform actions like submitting time-off requests and sending meeting invites directly through HAQM Q Business. Users can also search real-time data, such as employee time-off balances, scheduled meetings, and more.
HAQM Q Business and HAQM Q Apps are available in the US East (N. Virginia) and US West (Oregon) AWS Regions.
