Improving MongoDB Atlas Search Elasticity with HAQM S3
This blog post discusses how MongoDB has enhanced the indexing capabilities of its Atlas Search service by leveraging HAQM S3. The new approach allows MongoDB to significantly reduce the time required to rebuild search indexes, achieving a 14x improvement compared to the previous method. By periodically capturing snapshots of the search indexes in HAQM S3, MongoDB can quickly restore the latest index state during deployments, scaling, and recovery, improving search availability for customers.
