HAQM CloudFront and HAQM Route 53 in Sweden

Voiced by Polly

The AWS global footprint continues to grow!

We’ve just opened up an HAQM CloudFront and Route 53 edge location in Stockholm, Sweden. This is our 19th edge location worldwide and our 6th in Europe. You don’t need to do anything to your applications; requests are routed worldwide based on latency so CloudFront will automatically route requests to this location when appropriate. Requests originating from the Scandinavian Peninsula and parts of Eastern Europe are likely to end up at these locations.

You can take advantage of the full range of CloudFront features including Management Console supportprivate content, live streaming with Adobe Flash Media Server, HTTPS support, request logging, custom origins, and invalidation, to name a few!

By the way, the Adobe Flash Media Server is now available in all of the AWS Regions, including Europe. You can use version 4.0.1 and the brand-new 4.0.2 version of FMS. Read more on Adobe’s site or in my original blog post about live HTTP streaming using Adobe Flash Media Server and HAQM CloudFront.

If you would like to work on world-scale services like this, you should know that HAQM CloudFront team and HAQM Route 53 team is hiring!
