Monday February 15	The HAQM GameDev Blog talked about What’s Next for Lumberyard. The AWS Government, Education, & Nonprofits Blog published a Practical Guide to Cloud Migration. The AWS Partner Network Blog showed our partners how to Securely Access Customer AWS Accounts Using Cross-Account IAM Roles. The AWS Security Blog showed you How to Automate HIPAA Compliance (Part 1 – Use the Cloud to Protect the Cloud; Part 2 – Use the AWS Service Catalog for Code Deployments; Part 3 – Translate HIPAA Controls to AWS CloudFormation Templates). Botmetric listed 7 Lessons to Make You Ready for Any Cloud Outage. Gorillastack explained Why HAQM’s New Availability Zone is Great for Australian AWS Customers. Powerupcloud showed you how to Automate EBS Snapshots Using Lambda Functions. Trek10 continued to talk about Using Roles to Secure Your Environment. The ABC Developer Blog Introduced the ABC’s New Video Transcoding Service: Metro.
Tuesday February 16	We announced an HAQM EMR Update with Support for EBS Volumes, and M4 & C4 Instance Types. We announced that the HAQM API Gateway is Now Available in the Asia Pacific (Singapore) Region, as is the AWS Directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory. We updated the AWS CLI, AWS SDK for Ruby, AWS SDK for Go, and the AWS SDK for JavaScript. We announced the HAQM Linux AMI 2015.09.2 point release. A three-part series on the AWS Mobile Development Blog showed you how to Test iOS Applications on AWS Device Farm Using Appium (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3). Stelligent talked about Mocking AWS CodePipeline Pipelines with Lambda. CloudCheckr listed 8 Common AWS Security Issues and How to Fix Them. Cloud Academy explained Centralized Log Management with AWS CloudWatch. Sungard talked about how to Get Short with Lambda. Giant Swarm introduced Kocho – A Bootstrapping Tool for CoreOS Clusters on AWS.
Wednesday February 17	We announced Notifications for CloudWatch Events. A guest post talked about Migrating to HAQM Aurora. The AWS Big Data Blog showed you how to Process HAQM Kinesis Aggregated Data with AWS Lambda. The AWS Java Blog described an Event-Driven Architecture Using Scala, Docker, HAQM Kinesis Firehose, and the AWS SDK for Java. The AWS Startup Collection discussed Continuous Delivery and Effective Feature Flagging with LaunchDarkly. Stelligent talked about AWS Lambda-Backed Custom Resources for Stack Outputs, Resources, and Parameters. N2WS announced that their Cloud Protection Manager 2.0 is Now Available on AWS Marketplace. Cloudonaut showed you how to Protect AWS SDK Calls with Bulkheads and Circuit Breakers. ParkMyCloud talked about How to Save Money with HAQM EC2 Reserved Instances. Jixee talked about How to Deploy EC2 Instances with Salt Cloud.
Thursday February 18	We announced that AWS CloudTrail Now Supports HAQM Cognito. The AWS Compute Blog showed you how to Use HAQM API Gateway with Microservices Deployed on HAQM ECS. We updated the AWS SDK for Ruby. Botmetric discused Using ECU-Based Cost Analysis on AWS for Better Cost Optimization. 2nd Watch discussed Cloud Cost Complexity. Cloud Academy wondered Which AWS Service is Right for Your Application? Cloudability listed Three Challenges of Reconciling Your AWS Bill. Flux7 explained how they went about Creating Scalable IoT Infrastructure Rooted in DevOps Principles on AWS.
Friday February 19	A Reddit (/r/aws) discussion answered the question What third party tools do you use with AWS that you absolutely cannot live without?
Saturday February 20	Serverless Code talked about Using Scikit-Learn in AWS Lambda.
Sunday February 21	Calorious continued the story of their Parse to AWS migration with a discussion on Formatting Data for DynamoDB. Serverless Code talked about Using Python in the Serverless Framework.

New & Notable Open Source

aws-api-gateway-for-cloudformation is a set of Custom Resources that enables API Gateway support for CloudFormation.
WaterFlow is a is a non-magical / easy to understand / JDK8 framework for use with HAQM Simple Workflow.
gnu-mailman-aws documents the process of installing and running GNU Mailman on an EC2 instance.
spa-aws is a single page application using AWS Lambda.
petit is a URL shortener written in Ruby for use on AWS.
state-of-cloud is a tool to inventory cloud and report of the use of AWS and other services.
aws-helpers is a set of Node.JS helpers for AWS.
aws-lambda-canary is a canary project for Lambda services on AWS.
cookiecutter-lambder is a cookiecutter template for creating Lambder projects.
aws provides Racket support for AWS projects.
