Introducing HAQM Kinesis Data Analytics Studio – Quickly Interact with Streaming Data Using SQL, Python, or Scala

The best way to get timely insights and react quickly to new information you receive from your business and your applications is to analyze streaming data. This is data that must usually be processed sequentially and incrementally on a record-by-record basis or over sliding time windows, and can be used for a variety of analytics […]

Log your VPC DNS queries with Route 53 Resolver Query Logs

The HAQM Route 53 team has just launched a new feature called Route 53 Resolver Query Logs, which will let you log all DNS queries made by resources within your HAQM Virtual Private Cloud (HAQM VPC). Whether it’s an HAQM Elastic Compute Cloud (HAQM EC2) instance, an AWS Lambda function, or a container, if it […]

New – Serverless Streaming ETL with AWS Glue

When you have applications in production, you want to understand what is happening, and how the applications are being used. To analyze data, a first approach is a batch processing model: a set of data is collected over a period of time, then run through analytics tools. To be able to react quickly, you can […]

New – AWS IoT Greengrass Adds Container Support and Management of Data Streams at the Edge

AWS IoT Greengrass extends cloud capabilities to edge devices, so that they can respond to local events in near real-time, even with intermittent connectivity. Today, we are adding two features that make it easier to build IoT solutions: Container support to deploy applications using the Greengrass Docker application deployment connector. Collect, process, and export data streams from […]

New – HAQM Kinesis Data Analytics for Java

Customers are using HAQM Kinesis to collect, process, and analyze real-time streaming data. In this way, they can react quickly to new information from their business, their infrastructure, or their customers. For example, Epic Games ingests more than 1.5 million game events per second for its popular online game, Fortnite. With HAQM Kinesis Data Analytics you can […]

HAQM Kinesis Data Streams Adds Enhanced Fan-Out and HTTP/2 for Faster Streaming

We launched a new feature for HAQM Kinesis Data Streams (KDS) called Enhanced Fan-out, which enables developers to take advantage of a new low latency HTTP/2 data retrieval API. This new API allows customers to attach more applications to a single data stream while maintaining read performance across all of the applications consuming the stream. The HTTP/2 interface reduces the latency between ingestion of data and consumption of data by a consumer application by about 75%, down to less than 50 milliseconds.

HAQM Kinesis Video Streams Adds Support For HLS Output Streams

Today I’m excited to announce and demonstrate the new HTTP Live Streams (HLS) output feature for HAQM Kinesis Video Streams (KVS). If you’re not already familiar with KVS, Jeff covered the release for AWS re:Invent in 2017. In short, HAQM Kinesis Video Streams is a service for securely capturing, processing, and storing video for analytics […]
