A Builder’s Guide to HAQM Chime sessions at re:Invent 2019

At AWS re:Invent 2019, the HAQM Chime session track offers a breadth of new capabilities for web or telecom application developers. Let’s review the two main areas of focus for builders and developers with HAQM Chime in this year’s re:Invent.

New HAQM Chime SDK

The HAQM Chime SDK enables developers to build real-time experiences into their applications by embedding the same audio calling, video calling, and screen sharing and viewing capabilities that power HAQM Chime, an online meeting service from AWS. For example, video calling can be built into a telemedicine or health app to help patients and doctors consult remotely.

In this chalk talk, we explore what you can achieve with the APIs contained within this SDK, backed by Chime’s real-time, global-scale media resources; walk through some real-world examples built with the SDK; and dive deep into questions from the audience.

EUC324 – Add a video help desk to a website with the HAQM Chime SDK
Wednesday, Dec 4, 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM Aria, Level 1 West, Bristlecone 2 – Table 2
The HAQM Chime SDK makes it easy to add audio calling, video calling, and screen sharing features to web applications. In this session, you use the HAQM Chime SDK and the HAQM Chime SDK for JavaScript to add a real-time video help desk to an example website, connecting users in need of assistance to remote support agents. Please bring a laptop.

HAQM Chime Voice Connector

HAQM Chime Voice Connector provides low-cost SIP trunking from on-premises or cloud-based phone systems, with inbound calling, outbound calling, or both. Voice Connector includes features like HAQM Kinesis audio streaming, call detail records, and HAQM CloudWatch integration. Builders can also use Voice Connector to build PSTN calling in their own applications using the HAQM Chime SDK or stream audio for phone call analytics and machine learning.
