AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT) 0.11.0 is now available

AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT) 0.11.0 is now available. Release highlights include support for HAQM Elastic Kubernetes Service (HAQM EKS) metrics. HAQM EKS metrics can be monitored in HAQM CloudWatch Container Insights and include CPU usage, memory, disk and network status, in addition to other infrastructure metrics. ADOT 0.11.0 also supports Prometheus metrics collected from HAQM EKS and HAQM Elastic Container Service (HAQM ECS) services, which can be monitored in HAQM CloudWatch Container Insights. Learn more about AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry on the AWS Open Source Blog, where we announced the distribution’s availability for public preview in October 2020, followed by a re:Invent release announcement in December 2020.

Configure and deploy the latest version of ADOT for container services, including HAQM ECS and HAQM Elastic Compute Cloud (HAQM EC2), using AWS CloudFormation templates. You can also use the AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI) or kubectl commands.
