Virtual art department & AWS Deadline Cloud

AWS for Games at GDC 2025 Demos | Virtual art department & AWS Deadline Cloud

Setting up and managing demanding Virtual Art Department (VAD) workflows on-premises for game development studios can be fraught with resource bottlenecks, logistical challenges, and high up-front costs. By running VAD workflows on AWS, game artists and designers can seamlessly collaborate to create 3D environments, character models, and gaming assets for AAA video games, mobile games, and enable virtual production workflows while using local peripheral devices, like Wacom tablets. Game development teams can leverage the latest high-performance, low-latency, and on-demand EC2 instances to meet the demands of modern game production pipelines. As they iterate and develop game assets, artists can use AWS Deadline Cloud to submit render jobs through integrated submitters and produce high resolution assets for cinematics and other game asset visuals.
