An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. HAQM EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
There are two ways that you can configure a system to run SUSE Linux Enterprise Server. The first is to boot an instance running SUSE Linux in HAQM EC2. Once your image is running, you can use all of the standard SUSE tools including YaST and zypper to add packages and configure the system.

What do you like best about the product?
A really useful Linux distribution, stable and very fast when you need support.
What do you dislike about the product?
There may be rapid changes compared to older versions, which will slightly affect business continuity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main factor in choosing it is that it uses server resources sparingly and is fast.

Easy manageability, secure supply chain, fast security patches, good customer support, compatibility with other SUSE product, wide support in public clouds
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with Windows OS is not perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A very good secure platform for running virtual machines, Docker containers, Kubernetes etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Stable and easy to manage. Has been a reliable operating system for us for decades.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, maybe only some components like wicked and btrfs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SLES is a very reliable operating system. We do not have any downtimes caused by OS issues and we have to spend very little time in administrating SLES.
