Professional security at an affordable price
What do you like best about the product?
WatchGuard provides advanced network protection at a fairly affordable price. We have confidence knowing that the firewall is always active on our behalf. We plan to use this service long-term.
What do you dislike about the product?
The management screens for the firewall are pretty complex and above my skill level. The good news is that this is the result of a very professional network security system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I worry about both someone from outside the system trying to break in, and also, problems that could arise from our employees visiting harmful websites by accident.

Can't fault WatchGuard or any of their products
What do you like best about the product?
WatchGuard firewall devices are superior to any competitor devices we've trialled. We have them in place at dozens of customer sites and they have never failed us. The support is brilliant, the devices are easy to use and the surrounding products (e.g. DNS Watch) are brilliant too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike, we've had a few issues but support are always quick to fix it, or raise a feature request on our behalf. The only major thing I've found lacking is lack of websocket support in WebBlocker but this has been raised for us a feature request.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping our customers secure. We recently rolled out a block against Russian/Belarusian traffic to all our customers using Geo Filtering which helped our customers feel safer with emerging cyber threats.
Great all around Enterprise products!

I love the ease of use and how granular you can make the permissions

There is really nothing to dislike about the products!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to detect and block malicious payloads before they enter my network the ability to connect to active directory and push permissions through AD

The company is always in the forefront of technology, they have made smart moves in acquiring other technology companies to integrate into their own

The models will EOL quite often requiring users to upgrade their unit to a newer model

Watchguard is our endpoint securtity solution for our company VPN services to connect the various services in our company, it allows us to have a centralized management tool to unify our security needs

Versatility and multiple services in this product. No security service are out of the platform.

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using WatchGuard firewalls for many years across the different models released to keep up with higher bandwidth needs and evolving threats to our networks. We love the multiple layers of defence that you get in the one box each of which reduce the likelihood of compromise events occurring.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to think of anything we don't particularly like about the Watchguard firewall, wireless or 2FA / MFA Solutions (Authpoint) as both product and customer service (support in partucular in rare cases needed have been spot on. No if I was a hacker filling on the section on what you don't like; then I would have a lot to list, but we're on the good guy's team so there you are!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use WatchGuard to secure the office and data centre perimeter traditionally to block external sites trying to connect maliciously and other risks. HTTPS and real time AV scanning help. Lately we are also using TDR (Threat Detection and Response) to correlate issues.

For network security - firewalls, UTM and endpoint protection WatchGuard is a very reliable partner and combines quality and value at just the right level. The services pay for themselves handsomely in reducing internet risks.

What do you like best about the product?
Super intuitive dashboards, extremely audited, customers extremely satisfied with the security solution. Delivers what it promises. I recommend without a doubt, as I feel secure with the solution.

Firewalls, endpoint, access point, virtual fw... All these solutions are highly secure, deliver what they promise, excellent cost-benefit! It is among the most recommended...

WG is a robust tool with multiple features that contribute to network protection and meets our expectations. An affordable product with high benefits.
Solid security solutions
What do you like best about the product?
The WatchGuard network security appliances are sized based on throughput & capacity, with even the smallest firewalls having advanced security features. The licensing model is flexible based on need, with "Basic" and "Total" security offerings. Their cloud management and monitoring capabilities have improved over the past couple of years to make managing a fleet of WatchGuard appliances easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features such as client VPN options have varying levels of requirements for other on-site gateways that are more complex to implement than being able to just connect to the WatchGuard Cloud or integrate easily with "cloud-native" organizations (such as Azure AD/Office 365) for authentication, MFA, etc. It would be awesome of all of the client VPN options worked in the same way (IKEv2, SSL VPN, IPsec) for user authentication and MFA implementation. Right now, some can tie into local Active Directory where others require RADIUS instead.
On the client VPN front, it would also be nice to have an option for an "always on" VPN type of connection that happens at the computer/device level rather than the user level for simplifying access for folks working remotely (think AD-joined laptops and issues around expired passwords).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WatchGuard firewalls provide a robust set of security tools at the DNS, antivirus, content filtering, geo-filtering, reputation-based filtering, IDS, etc. The firewalls are a great layer of protection for our business.
Complete ecosystem of network security
What do you like best about the product?
The full range of security portfolio, provides a complete cover of today's network security needs.

Some integrations are still missing, like log ingestion for SIEM/Soc environments

The projects that We deployed WatchGuard products are focused on the internet gateway. Customers are now able to enjoy lower TCO's

Management must be able for all features from the cloud platform.

Securing remote connections with MFA (AuthPoint). Securing the perimeter with the firewalls, every protocol (DNS, HTTP, HTTPS) has is own security service.
