Protect your Network with this Firewall
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Watchguard for 2 years and I can say that it is a powerful tool for network protection.
These Firewalls have an excellent performance, I have never had problems of slowness and I have all security services enabled.
In addition to the Firewall, we also have in the main office 5 WatchGuard APs 120 that give us the WIFI connection, these APs are managed in their entirety from the administration tool of Watchguard. They are very interesting because they work on the frequency of 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz and can have up to 8 SSIDs.
I can recommend Watchguard to everyone who wants to protect their network perimeter

What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like about WatchGuard is that TDR licenses have to be purchased on a per-machine basis and are not integrated with the equipment purchase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What I like most about WatchGuard is the ease with which you can create policies, with just a few clicks you can configure a policy to deny certain traffic through certain ports or deny access to web pages or applications that are not allowed by the organization.
Content inspection can be enabled so that traffic is analyzed by all security modules provided by WatchGuard
The administration of the APs is also very simple because it is done from the WSM, the fact that the APs are from Watchguard is quite useful because you can apply the same policies of the Firewall to users who connect to them.
WatchGuard also provides a free monitoring tool that allows you to store historical logs and generate reports from them.

Excellent UTM protection, for a modest price
What do you like best about the product?
Advanced threats are having an increasing impact on the health of businesses because if them do not have a device capable of providing protection against them the business is at risk of losing valuable information and money.
This is where UTM solutions come into play, Watchguard offers UTM protection with its Firewalls at a reasonable price.
I have used WatchGuard UTM protection and can validate the effectiveness of this solution. The Antivirus, Spamblocker and DLP modules are very powerful.

What do you dislike about the product?
WatchGuard UTMs have an excellent performance however the only flaw I find is that sometimes the signatures of some security modules are not updated automatically and then you have to do it manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- With the Antispam module we have reduced the amount of spam emails received
- With the Web Blocker and Application control modules we have been able to restrict access to web pages and applications that are not allowed in the company.
- With Antivirus we can scan downloaded files for threats
- With IPS, attacks like DDoS, port scanning, etc. have been reduced.
- With the DLP module we have been capable of prevent important company information from being sent by email
There are other benefits that have been obtained with this device but the previous ones are the ones that I find the most outstanding.

You must be aware that the signatures of the services by subscription are updated in order to obtain the adequate protection.
An efficient "wall" of security your company
What do you like best about the product?
It is compatible with other antivirus and security solutions, ie if your company has other antivirus operating on the machines WatchGuard will not disturb or conflict with it, thus avoiding a possible annoyance or loopholes arising from a possible conflict.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being honest I did not find a technical fault that deserves prominence in WatchGuard, so I will cite as a point of improvement the technical superstore of WatchGuard, in some moments they really took longer than necessary to answer our doubts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security is never too much trouble, invasions, malware and viruses can result in disasters and great financial damage, and our company has been looking to increase its security using WatchGuard, it is like a great wall of steel in the online protection of our company, its firewall is extremely efficient and we can still configure it to avoid possible undesirable locks that could end up disturbing. WatchGuard gave the extra protection we needed to reduce the risk of intrusion and contamination of our system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The web security of a company is extremely important although many people still do not see the true value of it, if your company handles valuable material or data certainly WatchGuard is useful, it gives the company an extra layer of protection that is extremely necessary with so many threats and problems a company can face, from viruses to intrusions.
Excellent Firewall, nice performance for a UTM
What do you like best about the product?
In our company we have been using this Firewall for approximately 3 years and the results have been excellent.
These Firewalls have an excellent performance and allows you to protect the perimeter of your network and also make better use of your resources through features such as: load balancing, multiwan, web content filtering, application filtering, among other things.
The implementation of the equipment turned out to be quite simple since the application for the administration and configuration of the device is quite friendly and easy to understand.

What do you dislike about the product?
Generally speaking, I think that this firewall does its job efficiently, however, there are some things that could be improved:
- In the Firebox System Manager there are some tabs that show graphics that are not very clear as to the information they are presenting
- They have a solution called TDR that is of great help against the ransomware attacks but the cost of the license is very high and you must also acquire a license per computer.

With the help of this Firewall I was able to solve many problems about the management of network resources, for example:
- Optimization of bandwidth usage
- Blocking of websites and applications that are banned by the organization
- I was able to enable Failover schemes
- I was able to perform NATs to publish services
- I was able to run VPN Site to Site with other branch offices

Nice Firewall UTM, Excellent performance
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using WatchGuard Firewalls for 3-4 years, this device is excellent, it protects the perimeter of your network using the NGFW technology. You can do many things with this device and the configuration is really easy to understand
I have found that i can do the following things in an easy way:
- Content Filter: This firewall allows you to block the access to web pages using the categories that the WebBlocker offers
- Application Control: you can restrict the access to applications that are not allowed in your company
- NAT: you can publish services so they can be available from Internet
- VPN: It allows you to create VPNs IPSEC with another device, you can make a VPN SSL to gain secure access to your network from your home.
- APs: We have 4 WatchGuards APs, they are excellents since you can control the traffic that goes trough them

Generally this Firewall works just fine, the only thing that I don’t like is that the licenses for TDR are very expensive and you have to pay for each user

With this FW I have solved my organization's problems with:
- The use of bandwidth
- The use of unauthorized applications
- The use of proxies
- I've protected the perimeter of my network.
- I can do IPSEC VPN with the other branches

Security benefits of this product!
I love the features it brings for securing the system as well as the policy manager which is easy to use. If you have not looked at how they use APT i recommend it!
There are also other features which they are continuing to bring out, such as there most recent mobile authentication for users technology which is another great product.

Nothing, I highly enjoy working with WG I honestly believe they are the best firewall on the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the security benefits the product brings are amazing for businesses. I have installed these in many different businesses, and can safely say I love the product. It give such great security benefits with APT which again I am really impressed with.

Its a great product, and personally for any business this product is of great benefit. Take your time looking for the correct model of your business, be sure to take a look at the specs and always go spend more to future proof your business.

The solution is solid and works well in our environment. Setup was easy and has been very effective in protecting our network.

I wish that the reporting was more robust out of the box and was clearer in reporting issues.

WatchGuard Mobile VPN
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and easy to use, allows me to access our corporate server anywhere I have wifi.
What do you dislike about the product?
Connection can be slow sometimes, and requires tech support help for users to set up access to specific drives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working remotely, allows access to documents and programs on the go.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that I can access my Electronic Medical Record (EMR) from home. It makes life easier and happier. I can access my software/EHR from any place from any device. The only problem is accessing this product from outside can be a headache as it is very slow to connect. It lets you do your work at your convenience as well. It also takes you back to the place where you left off in case it freezes or is disconnected. It automatically saves the work as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very slow and annoying at times. It takes several minutes before you can finally access it. If there is a problem with connection and you are disconnected, it takes several minutes before you can re-access it. I would love it to be more user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
more people can access EMR from home. More productivity is always welcome. It also frees up desktops at work. You can take your laptop at work and work as you move different places and at different times of the day.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a very good product. It helps you be more productive. It lets you access your product from different places and devices. Makes life much easier. It can be easily authorized to multiple users and they would appreciate it all the times. There are not much update needed. It does take up a lot of space and may make the pc slow.
Over four years managing WatchGuard products
What do you like best about the product?
The feature set is very robust and versatile. There are multiple options for software and addon upgrades to achieve the level of security your business is looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a difficult transition to WatchGuard when my only prior experience had been using Cisco devices. I do think placement of certain components and features could be better designed and implemented. I also don't find the traffic management very easy to read and understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use WatchGuard Fireboxes at 4 offices. It creates an easy setup for VPN and has allowed for granular control of of the firewall policies at each office.
