Simple and reliable tool for performance consulting
What do you like best about the product?
I love that the SQL Sentry workflow is easy to use and allows you to focus on finding/solving problems, without having to worry about learning the interface. I love that it provides information on growing requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it becomes difficult to monitor SQL servers from a different network or SQL servers hosted in the cloud. This isn't always the perfect tool, but it gives developers an idea of how to do something differently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool allows you to provide your app users with feedback on problem areas in your app, and allows you to find exactly the problematic queries and track goals on demand.

A solid tool to keep your database running smoothly and efficiently
What do you like best about the product?
The real-time alerts system is very useful to keep track of what is going on with the database, and can be muted to perform maintenance or acknowledge a particular situation (so you don't get flooded with alerts).
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain parts of the user interface can be a bit hard to get used to do, and the initial configuration was slightly more complex than I thought.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solarwinds DPA allows us to keep track of our database, monitoring its performances and potential issues in real-time and easily once everything is configured.

What do you like best about the product?
This software is best for real-time performance monitoring. I liked this capability of SolarWinds SQL Sentry.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like its pricing structure. It is not reasonably priced.

This tool helped me to identify the performance bottlenecks in real-time ans also resolve them immediately.

It examines the performance of the SQL database with with quick respopnse on the end user performance. This is the most reliable platform that has kept our database upto date with excellent configurations. The customer support team is reliable and easy to integrate with other applications.

There is no more time wastage on database monitoring since we have acquired the best solution.

It unearths problems across the database and the steps that can be taken to fix the operation hitches. The system has 24/7 performance monitoring system that generates leads for improved performance.

Cons of the SQL sentry is integration part that need a skilled person to take care and also maintenance is done with highly knowledgeable person normal user cannot be able to understand how it works and what is the function of it.

I am amazed at how responsive the engineering team is feature requests. I also find the customization feature beneficial, and the platform has helped us improve customer retention and satisfaction.

I consider that greater personalization of the manual would help us much.

Problems and performance bottlenecks can be quickly identified. The powerful alerting and reporting features are also a real added value for operators and developers. It helps to identify where problems are coming from and whether they are caused by the database itself or by the underlying infrastructure. Installation and set-up is simple and Solarwinds support is on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Even more comprehensive machine learning would be great.

This application provides a user friendly interface. I like its colour-coded indicators the most.

I found its licence fee on a higher side. It might not suite to small scale companies.
