Sisense Growth and Partnership
What do you like best about the product?
I've worked with Sisense for over 5 years. The growth in features in response to client requests has continued to expand the capabilities of Sisense. The APIs have been extremely helpful to our teams as well so that we can automate security, shares, and even dashboard creation. Though the switch to live cubes has been difficult and complicated, I love that they are all in on their support of it. They have also been good partners as we have worked through various large migration projects over the years.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though the gaps between Sisense and some of the industry dominators are diminishing, there are still a number of nice to have features that have not made it into Sisense yet. Date management and emta data for instance still requires creating a dates table with direct links in the model where some others have allowed for more general date tables that can be shared across date fields or are maintained in the platform itself. Everything is very deliberate and intentional in the setup of Sisense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense provides us with the ability to get our management teams on the same page about the state of our business and the industry. It also allows us to create sales opportunity to pass on those and other insights to our clients through shared models build across our clients and consolidated to individual clients.

Great tool for embedded analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is relatively easy to use if you are familiar with data visualization. It has a ton of flexibility and the team is really responsive to support requests. Our CSM meets with us once a month to make sure that everything working well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sisense is pretty expensive compared to some other alternatives. Our contract quote tripled from the previous contract terms, which makes it hard when it's a similar cost to a senior developer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sisense to display dashboards to our customers.
A great tool with remarkable basic gaps
What do you like best about the product?
It has a wide range of visualisations, as well as multiple tools in one place, allowing not just one tool but providing a whole ecosystem. It also has a wide range of integrations that allow for greater customisation of the product and the implementation to an existing app is easily done.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest difficulty is its use, I feel that it takes a considerable amount of time to understand how to perform certain operations that in other BI platforms are quite simple such as the creation of certain graphs. I also feel that there are many basic features that are not counted that other tools have had for a long time, on the other hand, the documentation that is available is outdated for the case of developers.

The ability to model, store and display data to our users.

Basic usability stuff is missing, keeps breaking and supports is not good enough

Extremely fast and accurate!
What do you like best about the product?
Easily it's the speed on how quickly it runs. My previous report software would take ages to run, especially if i was asking for several years of data. Sisense is my far the fastest report model I have ever used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say when I have to drill into a revenue category to grab all the Gift IDs it will sometime time out because there's just too much data that it's trying to generate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes my job easier since I can setup subscriptions that will run weekly for my management. It saves me ton of time from having to run the reports manually.
Not quite there. Usual SQL to Dashboard service
What do you like best about the product?
Sisence has ability to embed arbitrary html/js, this makes integrating not existing features much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like lack of data modeling and SQL->Report approach. Constant sql copy/pasting is annoying. I also didn't like lack of data-tests, everyt time when you change your dashboard sql you have to eyeball numbers, over and over again

Embedding dashboards to user app using iframe tag.

A lot of data can be combined into small "serving size" bits that are easy to understand.

The amount of data had a negative impact on performance.

Allowing to seamlessly combine big amounts of data and serve an easy to understand solution.
Sisense helps business visualize their data
What do you like best about the product?
I like the dashboard and widget capabilities and duplication ease. The pulse alerts are nice to get a snapshot of the day. There are many ways to slice the data, helping present a larger picture of the data. The ability to customize widgets using the widget script is very helpful. The embedded dashboard with WAT token is really helpful. The Sisense community forum is very helpful and useful as well as the dedicated support system.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if there were stored procedures that could pull a specific set of data without that data existing in the main tables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a startup and with Sisense we can embedded the dashboard levaging the widgets instead of building everythin in house. This also engineering to focus on the product more. Being able HIPAA compliant is also a big plus. It is easy to create many different types of detailed and cutomizable widgets.
Decent BI platform if you don't write scripts to customize dashboards or you don't need CI/CD

- Easy to integrate with databases and it is seamless with Snowflake- Lots of chart types to select from

What do you dislike about the product?
- Not too visually appealing
- Buggy when we use scripts, especially during new releases. This is a double edged sword for Sisense in my opinion
- We had incidents when customer support resolved the cases incorrectly and put our operations at risk
- Support for CI/CD is like an afterthought as we are still struggling through this

Sisense is meant to be our enterprise solution to empower employees and executives to make data driven decisions and to make sharing of reports easy
Can do more with Sisense
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is much more feature rich compared to alternatives such as PowerBI. It has ease of use and has losts of customizations. The user administration is very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is lots of customization/integrations that can be done, but not all of them are "out-of-the-box".
