Sisense- User Friendly Tool To Visualize The Data
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is a user friendly BI tool to represent the data in the form of colorful dashboards.
It is a easy to understand and developer friendly.
We can create the live dashboards or can create the elastic cube based dashboards which can fetch data from multiple data sources.
Third party tools like R and Java Script are also supported in it.
There are various color palettes available and developer can select the one required.
We can create multilevel dependent filters which is a great feature.
Formula Building on UI is another feature which makes Sisense a tool to prefer.
It has the monitor also which allows us to analyze the Sienese performance.
It is a easy to understand and developer friendly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes lot of time to load the dashboards and have bad user experience.
If a dashboards is not being used by any of the user then its cube still consumes the memory which increases the overall memory consumption and hence the load time.
Customization of widgets is not so great in Sisense.
Few of the analytical functions like First_value() and last_value() is not present in the Sisense .
It has been observed that the cube of dashboards gets unshared with the user and dashboards get error out. We have to reshare the cube with the user again.

We have created various dashboards which data can analyze the major business KPI's at daily/weekly/monthly grain. Users can derive valuable insights and also can infer about the unusual business case.

Sisense is a easy and user friendly tool which can be learned easily. Try creating the basic cube and the dashboard to get its understanding and functionality.

Sisense is an amazing BI tool!
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is really easy to use, I was excited to be able to use the platform effectively in a short period of time. The documentation is also really helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The loading data speed is little bit slow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense helps me with marketing analytics, and enables me to analyze social media performance, email marketing performance, and other marketing initiatives in one place.

Sisense is doing well but has a long way to go
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to understand data assets, user onboarding and admin stuffs are easy. On-click addition of data in the dashboards is easy. The support team is also responsive and engages regularly with us. The consultation they provide on building dashboards to solve business problems are also very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Stability of the product has been an issue. We have had to reach out for the same issues multiple times. The reported bugs also hit a stonewall in R&D phase. Also, compared to market players in data visualisation such as Microstrategy and Tableau, they still have a long way to go in terms of being intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sisense for our business users to derive insights from data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it if your dataset is small or if you are looking for a tool that is easy to administer and not need too much maintenance.

What do you like best about the product?
Sisense provides a platform where we can create tailored dashboards for our stakeholders to utilise.
I like how easy Sisense is to navigate and customise, filters allow for precise reporting, and the data is presented in a clear format with multiple widget options.

What do you dislike about the product?
The elasticubes and formulas can be difficult to get to grips with, certainly a learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense has replaced the need for multiple manual reports on spreadsheets and from outdated systems, it provides a 'self serve' option that frees up time we used to spend gathering and cleaning data, allowing more time to analyse and provide insight.
Easy handling and widget creation and manipulation is user friendly.

The manipulation of how a widget should look and changes that can be made apart from the default ones.

Unable to hide drill name when toolbar exposed.

Data manipulation at cube level is easy and relationships between tables are identified on their own without manual intervention in some cases

It is a great tool for business analytics I loved the tool it makes that task so much easier that you literally had to do nothing extra after that.

Actually I dislike nothing I'm pretty much in love with this tool.

I was trying to visualise my data which was very complex but with the help of this tool it looked so much easier to do the task.
Easy and intuitive for beginners

Dashboards are easy to understand when creating. Quite intuitive for new users to access information they'd like to analyze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to customize widgets could be made easier. The load times on Dashboards can get long.

Create dashboards for different users and provide them with a powerful tool to pull insights efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the look and feel best, it is very eye-pleasing and seems intuitive. Sisense is a good platform, our usage seems a bit restricted in terms of the ability to customize views, and speed of page (report) rendering

Speed (rendering) and lack of customization capabilities

Data modelling environment not optimal - Would prefer a "star scheme" type modelling environment
Functions require some getting use to in dashboard design

Always do a tool evaluation first
Ensure you have a comprehensive criteria when reviewing BI tools
Ensure you have a senior BI sponsor / champion
Decide early on how you're going to implement Sisense... cloud / on-premise
Have a good inhouse team of BI developers, data engineers, data-modellers, adminstrstors so you can leverage this new tech quickly... hit the ground running
Understand clearly that BI won't magically fix your data problems... it's an enabler, not a magic bullet.

Being able to write custom scripts to achieve some of the things which makes the dashboard cool.

What do you dislike about the product?
Previously I have seen some issues with Sisense such as shadow pivot tables while coping widgets to another dashboard and transferring ownership to someone else. But Sisense support was always there to help to resolve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We create data insights for business globally. How users adopt the dashboard is very important to measure the success. One way to improve the user experience is creating a more user friendly dashboard with good flow on information. With Blox, we can actually represent a lot of data in much better way compared to traditional charts!
