Visually Appealing, Fast, and Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is a great choice for organizations that want to manage data models centrally and perform all modeling and dashboard development in a web-based environment. Sisense dashboards are very fast and the experience for "view only" users is very intuitive. I find it to be the most visually appealing option among the top modern BI visualization platforms. The drill-down functionality is far better than the competition.
What do you dislike about the product?
While seemingly any function is possible within Sisense, many things need to be done with plug-ins or javascript. Some of the top competition has invested in more advanced functions built into the application, which makes it easier for non-technical users to develop dashboards with minimal IT assistance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense is being used as our primary data visualization tool throughout the company. We implemented Sisense in parallel with a new Data Warehouse to create a single source of truth for all departments and eliminate costly and error-prone manual reporting efforts. It has created efficiencies in the reporting processes throughout the company, exposed data quality issues, and provided actionable insights that should lead to increased revenue.

Really good choice for web-based dashboarding tool
What do you like best about the product?
Periscope is at the top of web based dashboarding tools. Easy to use, has enough customization, and it has lots of little features that make a big difference. Being able to save SQL snippets and use them across dashboards is helpful. Having the ability to automatically email reports, or alert you if there is data issues detected is valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
No major complaints for Periscope. It makes dashboarding quick & easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a centralized and automated solution for data analytics dashboards.

While lacking many of the features of larger more complex and expensive products. Periscope data unlocks basic queries against data stores. In a small team the complexity / feature tradeoff is pretty ideal.

As the organization grows and data workflows and dashboards proliferate the lack of

Basic visibility into business processes and reliability of backend systems
So simple yet so powerful
What do you like best about the product?
Going from nothing to a setup that will give you great looking dashboards and new insights literally takes an hour or two. Their API first approach that let's us use the platform in all kinds of ways and integrate easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I miss a few features that would be nice. Versioning of components (like dashboards) for example. I'm not too concerned though. The product is evolving with new features in an impressive way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interactive analytics and embedded BI for our existing software. The first one is realized and we're making great progress with the latter one.

Easy to use and setup , cube can be designed and developed easily. User Friendly , dashboards are easy to create , modify and shared among many users in a single go.

I don't have anything specifically, At times we face random issues accessing dashboards over which we are already in conversation with SiSense team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Initially Heavy Dashboards ( more numbers of widgets) took time to load the data , now latest version (upgraded) it has made it easier to load entire dashboard with high widgets quickly.

I like the ease of various features given on SiSense in terms of visualizations, data marts. Also the approach to do any enhancement we want to have is very good.

I don't have anything specifically, At times we face random issues accessing dashboards over which we are already in conversation with SiSense team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We with digital marketing folks use dashboards numbers to measure our performance basis organic, purchased traffic and the probable reason of any loss. Dashboards helps product managers to conclude among different A/B tests and experiments. Also finance guys use to derive different sort of analysis.

The whitelabel documentation is very confusing, it's taking us a lot longer than anticipated to get this working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
Really easy to use. We've been using SiSense for a few years and even without any particularly technical people involved at our end we find it straightforward to create a variety of powerful reports that fuse together data from a number of different sources to give us really useful insights that we wouldn't be to be able to get using other tools. Managing data and building dashboards is intuitive and feature-rich, and the data security features are incredibly useful for making sure end users are seeing the data they should be seeing (and sometimes more importantly, not seeing the data that they shouldn't!). Customer support are incredibly responsive and helpful and there is a huge amount of support material available online.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the (rare) occasions when there are problems, the error messages are often unhelpful. They're either too vague and we don't know where to start looking or so specific and technical that they might as well be in Greek. This is somewhat mitigated by the quality of the Customer Support who usually solve these problems for us promptly, but there have been times when we could have solved it ourselves if the error message had been more understandable.
There is a mobile app, which does work as described but the experience is often unsatisfying and could definitely be improved.

Use the support material. There is a real wealth of information in the tutorials, webinars and the community forums.
Spending time on planning during (or even before) the implementation stage can save a lot of time later, particularly with the data models.

Perfect Dashboard tool - Sisense
What do you like best about the product?
Elastic Cubes are easy to build, and make changes to them is easy

Missing a few critical connectors (e.g. Teradata)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using Sisense for quite sometime mainly for dashboard purpose where one can view their company’s performance updated in the real time. One stand out feature is that it can process huge data from different sources like a boss. We can also create our own columns in the sisense database(ElastiCube) using SQL commands. It is definitely one of the best intelligence product in the current market.
Implementing Sisense
What do you like best about the product?
We are in the middle of transitioning from Xcelsius and Tableau dashboarding platforms to Sisense. The Sisense employees are always very responsive and knowledgeable about the product and how to help us through the implementation. We plan to complete the implementation by the end of the year. I will do a more detailed review in a few months!
What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting for a table in our dashboard took a lot more time than expected. It's not as easy as formatting a table in Excel! It required knowledge of java script and took our Sisense trainer a while to complete. We will have to replicate this process for future tables in our dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We will be using Sisense to share our performance with our customers as well as for them to do what if analysis.
