Protection against robots
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Datadome is its effectiveness in blocking bot attacks while having few false positives.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of endpoints per workspace is somewhat limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataDome allows us to effectively combat price scraping bots or credential stuffing.

L'efficacité de la solution, la mise à jour permanente des modèles de détection ainsi que la réactivité des équipes pour s'aligner sur nos besoins et le rapport qualité/prix.

Le manque de flexibilité sur les paliers surtout sur un traffic non linaire sur une année.

Nous travaillons avec Datadom depuis plusieurs années et leur solution a toujours été très efficace. Le tableau de bord est simple à utiliser et facilite la gestion au quotidien. De plus, l'intégration avec nos systèmes a été rapide et sans complications. Leur professionnalisme et leur réactivité nous ont permis de maintenir un service de qualité et de répondre à nos besoins de manière optimale. Nous l'utilisons quotidiennement sans aucun problème et sommes très satisfaits de notre collaboration avec eux.

Il n'y a vraiment rien que je n'apprécie pas chez ce prestataire, tout est toujours impeccable, de la qualité de leur service à leur réactivité.

Leur solution est simple à utiliser grâce à un tableau de bord clair et s'intègre parfaitement à nos systèmes existants. Cela nous permet de garantir une expérience utilisateur fluide tout en réduisant les risques et les coûts associés à la sécurité.
A powerful and evolving protection solution
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using DataDome for two years now, and the solution has been entirely satisfactory. It continuously learns and evolves, ensuring regular improvements. The WEBUI is efficient and functional, and the recent update has made it even more pleasant to use.
The reduction in maintenance and monitoring efforts is significant compared to other bot management solutions we used and maintained for several years before switching to DataDome.
The technical team is attentive, responsive, and pleasant to work with, which is a real plus.

The cost is relatively high, but this is in line with other security solutions.
A lack of possibilities with the API for automating configurations and deployment.
For the integration to be truly excellent, some setup time is required.

DataDome allows us to protect our websites against malicious bots by effectively blocking automated attacks such as scraping and brute force attempts. This enhances the security of our platforms while reducing the burden of monitoring and maintenance. Additionally, analyzing the dashboards helps us adjust our protection rules based on detected threats, ensuring a better user experience.

- Detection models need to be improved as some professional bots still succeed to bypass the protection

DDoS attacks and permanent scraping impact a lot our business.
Datadome mitigates both of these issues with an excellent success rate.

Excellent quality product that does what is says in a simple and effective way.
What do you like best about the product?
The core product offering is extremely solid and just gets to work blocking bots in the background without you having to worry about it. Account management and technical support are both extremely good and responsive. Had numerious in-depth technical discussion and also customised the detection algorithms to suit the specific traffic on our site.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that doesn't wokr that well is if you have extremely high traffic and you only want to pay to protect a subset of that traffic. It can be done but the configuration is complicated and fiddly.

Problems of people scraping our data, credential stuffing, AI content ingestion, fraudulent manipulation of our algorithms
Easy-to-Use Powerful Bot Protection
What do you like best about the product?
We needed a solution to protect our sites from DDoS attacks and content scrapers. We found DataDome and were able to work with them to quickly and easily integrate their solution into our environment. Their team has always been available and helpful to answer questions!

Honestly, I cannot think of any downsides.

Easy to use, effective, well supported, and has good reporting

Bot protection is working well for us, and the reports they send show the value. The Datadome team are also great to work with. The product is easy to use.

At first it was a bit aggressive. It took some tuning before the captchas would at the frequency we wanted.

Datadome is a very effective and flexible solution for bot detection and protection as a companion to our WAF.
The solution is deployed since 2019 on all our ecommerce websites. We experience a very low rate of false positives.
Integration is fairly easy thanks to the dozens integrations available.
Works well out-of-the-box, and can be enriched with custom rules and models.
Support is quite reactive and helpful (spoken language can be french)

Prices tend to increase significantly over the years
Server-side integration alone is not enough and client-side integration is required for the solution to work properly - this can be a concern for API protection.
The various dashboards can be quite slow especially when querying over long time ranges.
3O days of data retention is limiting for long-run analysis
