Easier to manage and feature-rich
What do you like best about the product?
I've worked with a few other firewall vendors. Among those, I find that it is easier to manage Sophos firewalls in a complex network architecture. Not overly complicated for the Engineers and Administrators.
What do you dislike about the product?
If the firewall GUI could be more user-friendly, that would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was very useful when I needed to implement a firewall solution for a small business requirement. Handy and provided all the features that were required.

Overall experience with Sophos Firewall
What do you like best about the product?
We may receive full information about their activities and prohibit access to various network services using its user-friendly interface. Among my favorite features are antivirus protection, extensive reporting, sophisticated analytics, and general filtering, which give unsurpassed security and management over network devices. I have faith in its capacity to keep computers safe and in all of its capabilities, as well as in its ability to respond in real-time to block malicious programs at network boundaries. Its reverse proxy authentication was extremely useful in protecting our cloud servers from hacker attempts while also giving users safe real-time access. This is the most economical option. Its continuous updates safeguard the organization's data against the most recent dangers.
What do you dislike about the product?
On paper, high availability appeared to be a terrific idea, but it was a source of anxiety because it crashed almost every time we upgraded and required a reboot. It is nearly hard to realize the image and performance of devices if we do not have a proper comprehension of the Sophos Firewall system since they are exceedingly complex to grasp at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As compared to other Firewalls I like Sophos Firewall, It's easy since the first configuration is so simple that even someone with minimal technical knowledge can do it. It's a simple and straightforward web dashboard with a quick log reader and the option to categorize packets. There are several filtering options. Sophos Firewall has resolved the issues I was experiencing with my old tool. I choose to utilize this program to boost my productivity since it restricts users' access to adult content, shopping, and social networking sites. This technology also makes it easier to implement endpoint security policies. It's simple to use, and because of the load balancing, it's becoming overly simplistic.

I prefer Sophos Firewall, Because other alternatives aren't as good at completely safeguarding our networks, on the other hand, Sophos Firewall offers multilayered protection as well as powerful security intelligence capabilities to intelligently monitor traffic and prevent harmful applications and agents from entering the network. 4. event level tracking is also enabled in this tool.
5. protects from all intruders and the control panel has many configurations like Monitor and Analyze, Protect, Configure, and system.
6. apply company, domain and person-level security and monitor all activities and threats.

What I like best with Sophos is it is easy to configure then other firewall, it is also not expensive, most companies can purchase the security. It is also easy to manage and configure.

Support engineers are very few. And a lot of distributors/resellers are selling this solution so pricing and competition is tough.

Security, web/internet protection. VPN protection, can monitor logs and network connections

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Sophos XG firewalls for a few years now and I enjoy the interface.
It also integrates great with our other security tools.
The GUI is much more user-friendly than other Firewall vendors.

What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to say one thing, it would be when firmware 18 separated the Firewall policies from NAT'ing and Routing. An option to lock all of those features in one interface would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It really gives us insight about what is going on with our network with real time reporting. Having this real time information helps us mitigate issues before they escalate.
Sophos is a total firewall solution.

Sophos is very easy to configure and I can manage firewall policies effectively. Real-time monitoring and network security options are best in Sophos Firewall. Notification as an alert and the application filter to data protection is also best in Sophos.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few difficulties with using it GUI part especially when using the filter option and of course, the support system of SOPHOS is not very much convenient for end-user.

We are using it for VPN purposes and for network security. It is a great tool for virtual network connections. Monitoring and logs also help us to track the infra security.
