Great middleware tool

  • January 17, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to understand interface with click to build functionality rather than coding. Boomi also integrates with a huge library of applications to allow you to help your applications talk to one another. Lastly, Dell is offering a bunch of great free training to help you get up to speed and understand it better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing (at least for us) is based on how many connectors you have so depending on how many systems you are looking to create, it can get quite expensive. We integrate with a number of customers and a handful of operations, so the cost adds up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have data we want synchronized between multiple systems and the main one is an iSeries AS400 talking to Salesforce. The AS400 is great as our ERP, but lousy for CRM needs, reporting, helping us discover trends, etc. which Salesforce is good at, so having data in both systems allows us to take advantage of the technology in Salesforce

Boomi is best tool for iPaaS Solutions

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity and fast in some features. Easy to complete in short time even major integration. It is beauty to finish quick cloud integration needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Little slowness while using some features. Also need more document level filtering or logic features such as Sorting based on profile element or size and exclude based on file size. Additional security features such connector level data security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All cloud and EDI applications problems easily manageable. API management is pretty much useful feature.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good to go this tool as if you come-out from the code.

iAAS Comes of Age

  • December 19, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use combined with Vendor Support. The core concepts are easy to grasp and the ability to implement complex use cases exists as well. There are a number of specific application connectors along with generic ones to meet any integration need. Self guided and Instructor led Training are both available through Dell and Dell Support is the best I have ever dealt with.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is difficult to quantify. The ability to travers documents on the canvas could be easier although Dell has implemented the ability to make suggestions that the community can vote on. Suggestions with enough support are made part of the core product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing business information between applications is the primary business problem that I am solving with Boomi both real-time and batch (ETL). Time to market is the big benefit. Integrations that used to take weeks or months to design, code and test can be done in hours or days.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it. Do a POC.

Starter using Dell Boomi

What do you like best about the product?
This is the cloud based tool integrating Built-in processes/shapes. It is not requiring much more programing knowledge to implement process rather than drag and drop. It also allows use to be easy to implement a new process, maintain it and easy to monitor the system.
Because it is cloud-based tool, you can access to this over the internet and facilitate in support during weekend
What do you dislike about the product?
This is web client and there is no database to keep track activities such as transactions submitted into Netsuite. This is really challengable if we want to do complex manufacturing flow.

It is not recommended to customize scripts to accommodate more complicated manufacturing flows that are in the real world.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As this is the tool that requires not much programing skill to work on this to integrate with ERP system such as Netsuite. There are also simply to track, monitor and maintain processes built in. Business users can be owners or developers of processes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dell Boomi is the tool that we can use to integrate several different flow and submit into Netsuite or any other ERP systems. It also integrated into the cloud-based applications.

Excellent Cloud Integration tool with Lightweight Designer, Centralized User Management & Montoring

  • October 29, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Availability of lightening fast designer in the cloud is a plus for Dell Boomi.
Deployment of integration processes and monitoring, reprocessing capabilities of documents.
Custom roles creation for specific users
What do you dislike about the product?
The Designer can only be accessed through internet.
Though the access to on- premise applications can be achieved with Atom installation, availability of on-premise Designer will be of great use during development to avoid time wasted due to network connectivity issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Activity monitoring , Event tracking , Process status alerts

Emerging Leader

  • September 22, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sophisticated features, boomi suggest, boomi resolve, popular connectors, ease of migrations, ease of enabling authentication to listeners etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Oracle ERP integrations are not matured enough for real time requirements. Manual setups inspite of importing the components through UI are confusing and time consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of the complex integrations involving Cloud to OnPrem applications are now enabled through Boomi where a cloud application can push data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Works well around Salesforce integrations (and many other cloud applications) while Boomi is still working on the Oracle ERP integration offering.

Boomi resources are hard to find but thankfully Boomi has partnered with a wealth of vendors to support and assist implementations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Enterprise Integration for any size company

  • September 22, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to develop integration mappings between systems of different technologies
What do you dislike about the product?
Components that could be reusable aren't
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Dell Boomi as an enterprise integration platform for both cloud and on premise systems. The advantages are maintainability, security and a common integration "language" for developers to easily identify issues as they arise between systems.

Build integration processes faster than ever

  • September 21, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Dell Boomi is it is extremely easy to use, there is plenty of help both in the Community Forum and the Support. As integration developer I have really enjoyed lots of hours with Boomi and just find out how to create processes, find out how to use objects simply by learning by doing.
Tracking errors is also very easy through process reporting, as you can extract the exact document and run it through test. On the different connector shapes it is easy to add tracked fields, which also is very helpfull when searching for why something happened.
When an integration process has been made it is very easy to change mappings, add new functionality, output documents as any kind you may wish.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I think the documentation in Boomi help, is a bit short. The examples of how to do things is not sufficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The key benefit is that the graphic in the Build page also serves as documentation.
You can enter a process and see exactly what happens when. When testing it is very easy to follow the documents as they pass through the different process shapes.
We use Dell Boomi for reporting purposes to different business controllers, we have created integrations between us and 100+ stores, and have integrated the salary system with our staff management system, collect data and send to Google pub/sub, integrated with GS1 Tradesync.
