Makes resourcing a breeze

What do you like best about the product?
Float is highly user-friendly, making it a top choice for teams needing efficient scheduling. Its intuitive interface allows users to easily navigate through project timelines, assign tasks, and adjust schedules with drag-and-drop functionality. The visual layout provides a clear overview of team availability and workload, reducing the complexity of resource management. Additionally, Float integrates seamlessly with other tools, and its real-time updates ensure everyone stays on the same page. The simplicity of setting up and modifying schedules, coupled with its responsive design, makes it accessible and efficient for both small teams and larger organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of using Float is that its notifications are not instant, which can be frustrating when quick updates are needed. In a fast-paced work environment, timely notifications are crucial to ensure that everyone stays aligned with the latest changes or new task assignments. The delay in receiving these notifications can lead to missed updates, confusion, or even scheduling conflicts. While Float excels in many areas, the lag in notification delivery can be a significant drawback, especially for teams that rely on real-time communication to keep projects on track.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float addresses several key challenges in scheduling, particularly for teams managing multiple projects and resources. It simplifies the complexity of coordinating various team members' availability, preventing overbooking or underutilization of resources. With its visual and intuitive interface, Float makes it easier to plan, track, and adjust schedules, ensuring that everyone knows their tasks and deadlines. It also reduces the manual effort involved in updating schedules, as changes can be made quickly and are reflected across the board. By centralizing all scheduling information, Float helps teams avoid miscommunication, delays, and the chaos of juggling multiple calendars or tools.

Float is very practical

  • August 20, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
For me, Float is very useful and helps me stay organized. For some tasks, it has already replaced my notebook and pen.
Not to mention the ease of linking with Jira and Google Calendar, which makes everything so convenient. The implementation is simple, and I didn’t even know that was possible until I discovered Float. Seriously, I like it a lot.
Due to frequently using Float, I needed customer support because Float was not supporting translation via the browser and was causing some conflicts. I was pleasantly surprised by the support provided by the Float team. They were quick and gave me an incredibly simple solution that worked.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Float is the duplication of only some Google Calendar events in the LOG tab; in the Schedule tab, everything is normal. I’m checking what might be causing this. Also, the lack of multiple languages is inconvenient for people who don’t speak a second language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float is helping me a lot with managing time and tasks. I no longer need to write down everything I need to do, and Jira tasks come easily to my screen along with Google Calendar events. It’s a huge convenience.

Practical and usable

What do you like best about the product?
The organization greatly improves the visualization and adjustments we want to make, enabling the inclusion and exclusion of routines that we frequently change. It is a tool that has excellent support for companies. Quite useful due to the frequency with which we have to use it and the ease of access implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
What was somewhat disadvantageous was the platform integration process but nothing that prevented us from accessing it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It serves as a kanban for us, the platform users.

A tool that could fit your business need

What do you like best about the product?
Dependent on the workflow need, Float has great potential for resource allocation. It's GANTT chart visuals are great. Once the phases were discovered, it was easier to see project flow.
The customer support was strong.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are heavily project based with short and quick turnarounds this is extremely administrative intensive. Therefore, my frequency of use has been limited.
This is an excellent project for consultancies that work on longer projects with resources...
It did take a while and still does for implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we bring potential problems to Float, they listen and try to help through additional training and support. At times, they take the suggestion/question and provide it to their development team. My assumption is that some of these developments come about when recurring problems within their customer base provide the updates that benefit us as well.
