Great analytics and alerting for large software
What do you like best about the product?
New relic was to set up and has been easy for the whole team to use for different needs. It gives us a good overview of our server and app health and alerts us to errors or issues quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the error reporting could be a bit deeper and easier to debug - that could be in part because of our complicated software though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use new relic for our day to day server insights and have it up on a wall to monitor our day to say utilization.

best apm monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
easy to setup, easy to use and very powerful for sure is the best apm i tried.
great with ruby on rails, very good with python and php, one of the best with nodejs.

the price is very high and the free plain changed and now is not so convenient

it's possible to monitor and analyse the software in the most small and particular details.

Its clear graphics and reporting, very easy to understand and take actions from it

some features are not easy to discover, some onboarding feature can be implemented

Useful APM tool
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard provides insightful information of server usage (cpu usage, memory) and webpage response (in milliseconds) in one glance. Besides that, it shows specific script and even database query which takes longer than usual execution time. This is a very effective way to find out, troubleshoot and improve response time of specific script or webpage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is very high compared to its competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it primarily for application performance monitoring for production environment. We think it serves its purpose well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
NewRelic has been the industry leader (APM) for many years. If you have enough budget, I would definitely suggest you to consider NewRelic.
Great Features And A Must Have Infrastructure Monitor.
What do you like best about the product?
Help the devops team to act faster in any annomaly showed in graphics.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no comments about this. The NewRelic APM is the most important monitor for our apps.

I have an early experience with NewRelic in another company that i worked and when i founded my startup, i implemented NewRelic in my project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To test the NewRelic Infrastructure before other tools
Product is OK, too pricey and customer service is the worse thing

The product is fine. Nothing you can't find elsewhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product is fine. If you need tracing bottlenecks and alerts, Elastic + their APM is much more affordable. But it will cost you 5 times more to get other features that you probably would not need. SO i would skip NR for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Their customer service is the worse. You will get locked with a plan for a year without being able to disable the auto renewal. They will do their best to make your life difficult in case you want to leave. Pay attention to this

Gives simple and detailed performance insights for each part of your application or environment and that too in real-time!

Paid version is exterminate expensive otherwise it is ok for me

New Relic enables us to detect and fix issues on our production servers faster.
New Relic is used to monitor the performance of our applications and crash rates.
What do you like best about the product?
The best part is New Relic dashboard visualization is user interactive. It's easy to implement in our application. New Relic also provide detailed reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price is too expensive for small virtual servers. Sometimes I feel the response time is too much. There are some times where I have to wait for minutes to load the software.

New Relic is used to track application performance, response times, error rates and unhandled exceptions.

New Relic does an amazing job for detailed performance monitoring, as well as quick setup of services
Amazing tool
What do you like best about the product?
New Relic APM has been amazing for our company. Its cloud-based platform allows us to understand and see everything about our applications all from one single place, instead of having to visit site after site. I love Relic because of the auto-instrumentation, which basically means it can read over 7 programing languages, and the in-depth transaction. This allows us to quickly fix issues by pointing at the root causes quickly. Our applications simply run better using Relic

What do you like best about the product?
The look of the application is top notch. Very clean and easy to recognize the individual areas and options.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is just so much that just using the application to learn it is not enough. I have been able to figure out a few things but don’t completely understand why they work. Working through the provided videos is a noce way to get a general idea but no where near enough to learn the application well enough to administer it fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently we use it for a few infrastructure moniters, services up/down, but mostly for our web applications.

Get training and dedicate someone for the first few months.
