Snowflake Data Warehouse
What do you like best about the product?
The separation of compute and storage and the flexibility in being able to control costs. Snowflake role hierarchy is also a very nice feature that allows for a flexible yet robust privilege hierarchy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if Snowflake offered a cost breakdown per user. Having the resource monitors is nice, but having the ability to see who is utilizing compute would make cost management a lot nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of concurrency. Our current solution is not a highly concurrent system, and a couple of big queries can impact the rest of the users in the system. Snowflake does an excellent job of isolating the problematic compute areas.

How snowflake become leader of the cloud storage in current situation.
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing i like about the snowflake is its supports both share disk and share nothing architecture.it is a centralised based storing cloud database and its support all the new cloud services like AWS,Azure,GCP.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not cost effective as it is charge the money for the duration that a warehouse is on and how much time you use the warehouse for analysis or any purpose.
So its not good for taking snowflakes clouds storage for a small projects.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Best benefits of snowflakes I would say the caching part.in snowflakes it provides two levle of caching one is the Result caching and another is the meta data caching. Due to this caching its avoid the unwanted use of any warehouse.

What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake has a very clean UI, and it is simple to use. After about a week of playing around, I understood how most of the functionality worked in the tool which saved me so much time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue I ran into so far is that Snowflake doesn't have the capabilty to automatically refresh data in a maternalized view, so the table I created can't be refreshed unless it is a manual process or set up outside of Snowflake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have a warehouse that centralizes all of our data, which we never had before. This is great for security reasons, as we all as organization.

Time travelling and fail safe, good ui,IAM service

Can't search text and do operation on it (like edit) in a query available on snowflake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snowflake reduces the cost of operation, by MPP structure and many other features like time travel.

What do you like best about the product?
Snowflake is reliable, and pretty fast for most workloads. The best feature is you can save some money by using only the amount of computer that is needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally Snowflake takes a poor query optimization path. This is not unique to Snowflake though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analtics, dashboards, training ML and evaluating ML quality.

ease of use, cloud based, quick onboarding, excellent integrations

Cost is an issue, getting skilled resources is a challenge

we have moved all our transaction data to snowflake and it is used for quick decision making, the stuff that was done with reports has now become on demand
Snowflake as tool to fuel Marketing, Sales and Success Metrics
What do you like best about the product?
Lot of success in storing large amounts of structured data and managing compute for fast queries across the data lake. As of today, we currently have ~50TB of data in Snowflake and hundreds of tables. Snowflake handles storage and compute efficiently. Snowflake can work well with large amounts of data with auto micro partitions of your data and you can also add clustering to improve usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Large amounts of data might not work well if it’s not partitioned and regularly pruned out. We are considering other options for real-time use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A good go to tool for large amount of structured data. Like I said before you can clustering to improve usage. Very easy to use. A little SQL knowledge goes a long way.
Better than Sift app
What do you like best about the product?
I like how detailed oriented and easier it is to be able to look more into customer's information when it comes to verifying information traces of customers using DoorDash.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't have access for a while until now. There isn't anything to dislike about snowflake yet, since it's a new program that I'm using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to trace a deeper information on customers for multiple accounts, how much refund/credits they received in the entire time using DoorDash, and if they have multiple accounts.
