Quick way to enable software in Production
What do you like best about the product?
LaunchDarkly offers a streamlined solution for managing feature flags, empowering teams to toggle features with remarkable speed and precision. With just a few clicks, we can seamlessly turn features on and off in real-time, eliminating the need for lengthy deployment cycles and minimizing downtime.

What do you dislike about the product?
I find Launchdarkly frustrating at times due to occasional reliability issues on the website with the state of a flag. There have been instances where I've needed to refresh the page multiple times to ensure I have the current state of a flag, which disrupts my workflow and diminishes the overall user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Launchdarkly solves the problem of wanting to try something in Production but not wanting the potential long downtime if things go wrong and need to be rolled back

Great product, easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Friendly ui and right away feature flag. Super easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hope the designer sees this. The new UI that requires adding and removing users from feature flag now takes a few more clicks and waiting for load. This is not friendly to developers who are constantly switching on and off for testing.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is to make custom configurations for feature flags in LaunchDarkly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Availability is critical for feature flags (there was a LaunchDarkly outage yesterday) so working on stability would be prudent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly helps us dynamically roll out features in ways that we couldn't have with our homegrown feature flag system, which allows us to have more deliberate rollout plans.
An excellent upgrade
What do you like best about the product?
The new UI is very easy to use, a great upgrade on the previous iteration.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the ability to edit multiple environments at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provide specific features to select individuals, enabling a gradual deployment of these features, with the capability to deactivate them as required.

easy to control FFs in many environments

Missing the option to see a dashboard with the status of many FFs in multiple environments

The experience of switching on the flag could have been better, had to spend more time enabling for demo tenant.

It will always be easier for changing the toggle without deploying new code. allows new feature safely integrate.

I love several features about LaunchDarkly:

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I run into a bit of confusion figuring out which/what type of clause or rule I should be adding to a feature flag
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LaunchDarkly enables us to do all sorts of things with our app, whether it's placing certain features behind a feature flag, scheduling display of a maintenance banner, or enforcing a version upgrade across our user base.
Great feature flag management
What do you like best about the product?
We use LaunchDarkly on a daily basis and it is considered a core part of our development cycle. My engineers have found that once they understand the context, it is straightforward to place their code behind the flag they've created. Afterwards, we are able to easily strategize how we roll out to customers, whether it's to individual companies, % based rollout of en masse.
Additionally, use of LaunchDarkly has saved us in downtime/rollbacks as if we find that a feature outside of the flag is causing issues, we are able to quickly disable it with a simple configuration change. No need to staging a revert when we can just flip a switch.

What do you dislike about the product?
This is not a LaunchDarkly issue, but we have had to ensure that our development processes has a flag removal item scheduled to keep up with our flag management hygiene. It is easy to have numerous LD Flags go stale if we do not remove them once they are fully rolled out. Over time, this leads to unneccessary checks to flag enablement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gives us a sense of security when we delivery items to production that we can roll them out in a more controlled manner.

What do you like best about the product?
We put all our work under a feature flag so we can slowly roll it out to our customers. We love that we can turn it on per user, company, country, and environment. We can also filter the flags per tag. The UI is easy to use and we can also implement it through the CLI.
What do you dislike about the product?
I know there are Jira integrations with LaunchDarkly, and I would like to see a way that we can connect each work/feature to the flag and view those details in the LaunchDarkly flag itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our deployment takes a log time, adding our work under a feature flag reduces customer impact when there are bugs introduced in production.
