The use as a reverse proxy

Load balancing of applications with multiple frontends, this allows for load distribution.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not that much, if anything should be mentioned it's that the tool stack have become quite large. HAProxy isn't just HAProxy any more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us balance load and control traffic flow to our different platforms.

Easy to configure, one config file to configure.

Documentation could be easier to use, sometimes hard to find.

I recommend this for a resilient and robust load balancing solution. Good features for security and advanced routing capabilities. Lots of configuration options.

Steep learning curve. Being able to customize a lot of things does come with its complexities.

Efficient ingress controller. Helping with LLM security.

What i dislike about HAProxy is that soke features should be open sourced or at least affordable for small teams

Been using it for load balancing. integrated HAProxy with NGINX to build a robust, scalable, and highly available traffic management solution. HAProxy handled load balancing and health checks at the edge

HAProxy config lacks dynamic reloading, requiring full restarts which is a bit painful sometimes

The multiple levels of control. Due to the lightweight nature the performance and reliability is great. It was used on a project in past time but also in some of my private pocs to showcase functionality.

Could be a steeper learning curve and can cause problems if configs not fully setup.especially for simpler setups.
