GoAnywhere MFT
What do you like best about the product?
Goanywhere MFT works on all platforms IBMi/Windows etc. Easy to Manage, XML, JSON support. REST & SOAP API support, Goanywhere services can be called using there API Services. We installed it on IBM'i & call the services internally & externanly as well. works flawlessly. Goanwyhere supports Forms, Emailing, AWS, MQ, FTP, SFTP, shares, Key Store, Certificates etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some modern/Client specific features are rolled out slowly. SOAP XML support is old & needs new features like namespace handling added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
B2B communications, Webservices, File transfers, API calls, XML, JSON support, Project/Code maintenances is easy, UI is User friendly, Can be hosted on different platforms.

Great MFT Product
What do you like best about the product?
Great product over all with great features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having the option for users to easily change their passwords.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to receive and send files from one product.

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibilty to be able to create my own custom workflows and the auditing function to keep track of all transactions which MFT touches.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing when offline (We dont use internet access) is a pain with the manual activation and deactivation. Thats all i can really pick out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us the project we are working on was to collect logs from remote services and move them into our hosted DC's for reporting and support purposes.
We have had to use a free SFTP service so allow MFT to be able to access these locations and them bring them to a centralised repository.

Wouldnt hesistate to recommend anyone to use this product.
A great solution that has helped us automate all FTP related tasks end to end
What do you like best about the product?
The solution - right off the bat - provides features to design workflows. Using these workflows, we have been able to automate FTP-related tasks for inbound and outbound files. The interface is very intuitive, making it easier for a non-technical person to design and use the system. Additionally, I also love the reporting/dashboard feature available in the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I do not have anything that I do not dislike or wished was present in the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved the problem of manual FTP related tasks done at the organization. Using GoAnywhere MFT solution, we have fully automated that piece. This has really allowed our resources to focus on other areas which would help us enhance data/service quality.
Very smart and simple solution
What do you like best about the product?
The workflow and automation aspect of the GOMFT easy to use and highly effective. We were able to create hundreds of jobs and automate our tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI is flexible and easy to design but we were expecting more than the high bar raised from other solutions.

Is a pain to keep up with all the vulnerabiltiues and updates/patches

Goanywhere provides a reliable and secure File Sharing platform that allows are clients to upload/download huge amount of data
GMFT sftp speed issues for upload and download
What do you like best about the product?
we liked the audit logs where we can see who logged in from where and what data users are downloaded
What do you dislike about the product?
we did not like the GMFT support and the time they are taking to analyze and troubleshoot the issue is months.
we had opened an case as soon as we have put the site in the production for slow speed issues on upload and download and its been 3 months but no solution yet, we had to revert back to the open source solution because of this.

i dont see any benefits and GMFT support and tool needs to improve a lot and we are completely unsatisfied wtih your product because of the support team and speed issues.

What do you like best about the product?
Multiprotocol, with "DMZ" feature, FIPS.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ticketing via support portal UI is weak.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are replacing several legacy services with a single newer application.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Few file transfer products are as robust and easy to use as GoAnywhere.
Great product which helped us to be compliant to Industry standard practices!
What do you like best about the product?
We have an Enterprise level MFT service established and being provided to our Businesses using the GoAnywhere product. Most helpful is that the product is all configurable and easy to use! That helps us to have a broader team that can maintain the tool/service instead of having SMEs.
What do you dislike about the product?
My suggestion would be to spend more thoughtfulness on the Product Technical Support. It would be an excellent asset for the longterm roadmap of the product.

We have established an Enterprise level MFT service for Businesses using the GoAnywhere MFT product. GoAnywhere MFT product has helped us to be compliant and latest on Industry standards etc.

The team at HelpSystems is quite helpful! If you want to explore or are already exploring the product, my suggestion would be to keep active communication with the team. They would be able to help pretty fast, expediting your exploration. In our exploration, we could not find a feature Out-of-Box available, and the team was accommodating to jump on a call and help us by suggesting a few tips/alternatives.
