Active Data Catalog for the Modern Data Stack
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to utilize Atlan's integration with Snowflake and Power BI provided us with rich data and metadata insights regarding our analytical data assets (tables and views) and Power BI reports and dashboards. Atlan also provides a truly visual data lineage showing the sources, transformations, and targets of different data assets. Another distinctive area where Atlan shines is the rich search interface which aids the discovery of business glossary terms and data assets.
The Atlan customer success is very responsive to our requests. Atlan's customer success team work in close collaboration with our internal team to remediate issues and provide us with information about new features and how to make the best use of them.

What do you dislike about the product?
Mapping business glossary terms to data assets was challenging at first. We had to work with the Atlan team to create a workaround custom solution to get this done. Atlan has recently released product updates to make this process much less arduous for our team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Atlan as an enabler of our data governance execution specifically around important capabilities such as a business glossary, data dictionary, data discovery, and data lineage. Pertinent to the broad adoption of these capabilities is the need for collaboration amongst teams. Team members can easily search and discover new data assets and collaborate on fixing incorrect definitions or introducing new terms.

At the beginning it is little bit difficult to explore there is no proper video in YouTube to follow

This Data governance tool's features are intuitive and suitable for identifying required properties in the selection Tab. It provides a very flexible implementation process and provides outstanding customer experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support team doesn't have much knowledge about the product.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Atlan provides better solutions and performance when compared to its competitors. However, it is costly but valuable for money. It is very easy to use and understand for every technical and non-technical user.

This program is a collaborative based software to house all data usage sources in one place.
What do you like best about the product?
This program is extremely user-friendly. There is a resource for all programs used with multiple options to review and learn. With this being my first time using a program, there isn’t anything to compare to. However I have no complaints.
What do you dislike about the product?
With still learning my way around the complete usage and benefits this program offers, I do not have anything negative to pinpoint at this time. All the related articles and step-by-step features are 100% direct and helpful.

My company uses this program to house everything necessary for the entire staff to utilize and be the most efficient with their roles and responsibilities. With each working day, my company benefits from this program's integration.

Helping with security and allowing team to connect and work on data projects securely
Atlan makes it super easy to search for specific data attributes across your entire data landscape.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to search and monitor specific data attributes. Atlan elegantly visualizes all data, making it efficient as a data science engineer. Everything is super intuitive to use and works amazing, especially for APIs. Atlan also does a great job in resolving any client issues. Overall, Atlan has drastically reduced our workload in organizing data and metadata as a single source of truth.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations when trying to work with older data types and technology. I would like to see better onboarding for older technology. Apart from that everything else works perfectly for our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Atlan is doing a great job of allowing the entire team to understand our data efficiently from all angles and processes. Atlan eliminates the need to constantly update and work around this single source of truth document we previously had to put together to get all the data types up to date. It drastically improved our terminology and understanding, making our engineering teams much more efficient.
