Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to connect different tools/ platforms. Features provided by Segment like transformations and filters also make it very customizable for how you want to set up the connections.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their success engineers have generally been helpful. It's just that we often got paired with engineers in different time zones- which means we probably won't get a reply during our working hours and that it could take up many days to resolve an issue if it requires a lot of back and forth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Setting up connections quick and easy- saves time and engineering efforts.

Performance, scalability still some work on it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We still struggle to reconcile data fromour CRM / Ads tools and Analytics tool (Google analytcis, amplitude)
Segment gives us a lot of flexibility in our analytics events and its pipeline

It provides incredible flexibility, and I love the ability to change event destinations on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's expensive and not great for sending very high volume events such as certain logs

It enforced the analytics contracts, which ensures that events are following the protocol.

What do you like best about the product?
Integrations are easy, does a overall good job. I feel like the documentation has been better than most other products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't overwrite user_ids, we have to re-do our whole persona account because we switched user_id from email to unique code, we weren't properly advised on this problem. Often people can get a lot of personas that AREN'T combined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
De-anonymization of web traffic has been great. Event tracking, also quite good. Haven't totally been stumped on a problem yet.
Segment has become a critical piece in our data stack.

We love that integrating hundreds of tools is plug-and-play with Segment. Additionally, using protocols and tracking plans has made a massive difference in the quality of data we're collecting and our confidence in decision-making.
What do you dislike about the product?
More robust alerting and data ops tools would be beneficial.

Data quality, martech integrations, event documentation, process improvement, reporting and analytics, machine learning and personalization. etc.

Spend the time to integrate correctly from the beginning, and you'll save yourself from headaches in the future.
Best ever analytics tool
What do you like best about the product?
As a non-technical person, I don't have enough knowledge of this kind of analytics software. I don't have any technical team to handle any implementation tips. This segment.com software could help me to set up all the features on my own.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of integrating other marketing platforms (say adroll) is a little bit hard. Even though you have several documentation it is very hard for me to integrate other marketing platforms with the segment dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the use of segments, I could able to have a complete track of my website. I can track the number of forms submitted, purchases & so on. As a non-technical person, I don't have enough knowledge of this kind of analytics software. I don't have any technical team to handle any implementation tips.

As an individual, you can handle your website activity on your own and don't need any additional team to have a dedicated development team to keep track.
Best CDP platform available but lacks features
What do you like best about the product?
Ease-of-use, great documentation, SDKs and cloud-based integrations
What do you dislike about the product?
- Can get pricey if you have high DAUs
- Lacks support for popular platforms (DataBricks)
- Would be great to see some BI/reporting capabilities
- JS dependency injection can bloat client-side and impact performance

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We instrument our client apps and backend with Segment to send data to various destinations for marketing and reporting (Facebook, Mixpanel, GA, etc). It's great to have one instrumentation for everything, easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the UI and the dashboard and the debugger! It's very helpful for viewing incoming traffic :)
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that sometimes the debugger shows events out of order (not in chronological order)

No issues so far! Really great experience. Benefits: analytics for our company and our products
Best way to connect all of your alaytics
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Segment is the single platform to collect, unify, and connect your customer data. I don't have to ask my devs to implement new analytics tools into our product and we no longer have 5 differnet tools in the product pulling data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost can be expensive for an enterprise plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Different departments like different tools, now we don't have to pick and choose just one.

The only thing is code related that it might generate a lot of boilerplate at some point but is normal

Usually works to have data to create dashboards and usage statistics
showing 311 - 320
