databricks is a solution for all things data
What do you like best about the product?
that it is truly end to end, it is probably the vendor we use the most
What do you dislike about the product?
lack of a good native IDE. The recently released vs code extension partially solves this tho.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it's enabling us to manage data, code and models at scale

Databricks is awesome
What do you like best about the product?
I like delta live tables a lot because of the ease of building integrations for incremental data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Databricks could show cost of a cluster while provisioning then it would be helpful for some of the newer users to size the cluster appropriately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Datarbricks platform helps put together all the data engineering, monitoring, alerting, data warehousing and machine learning problems simultaneously, which is super helpful for the organization of our scale.
Data Lakehouse: Warehouse + Lake rocks!
What do you like best about the product?
The Lakehouse platform is the next level! Combining the benefits and ease of a Data Lake and Data Warehouse into a single, usable platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
My team does not currently have any major issues at this time.

The Databricks Lakehouse is bringing the best of warehouses and lakes into a single ACID compliant. The Data Lakehouse enables a true centralized data repository for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in a central, secured location. Continual innovations like Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog and other new features like LakehouseIQ look to briniging system simplicity while empowering users to use democratized data to drive, descriptive, predictive, and cognitive analytics to enable business value.

For a lot of clients that we work with, Databricks Lakehouse provides a brilliant base for their data architecture.

The continuous innovations they provide every year

Too much python. We need more Scala. Let's not forget the importance of Scala in Spark and Databricks itself

A unified platform for all the disparate sources at our company
More than managed spark
What do you like best about the product?
Databrics offers a complete platform for managing all of our data - from ingesting events in high scale to writing tens of aggregations and models on top of the data - all in one place
What do you dislike about the product?
Databicks is very fast-paced, and this means we always have to be on our feet learning new features and see how the platform evolves. Sometimes this can lead to changes in existing code to migrate to new features developed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Databricks gives us the ability to process large amounts of data, get all the benefits of spark, delta lake and mlflow, all under the same platform. This solves the need to manage or build such infrastructure on our own.
Databricks Lakehouse Platform
What do you like best about the product?
It brings a lot of things together under one area to simplify operations in data engineering and data science. Databricks has enabled me to learn a lot of various topics in data engineering and data science because of their great training modules. The scalability of the Databricks Lakehouse is also very attractive. DLT Pipelines are also a great tool for ETL that I have loved using.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Databricks Lakehouse is very expensive, although I find it to be largely worth it for our situation because our team and company can utilize all of the tools they offer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using DTL for a declarative approach to DLT has been very convenient and efficient for our Data Engineering processes. Running machine learning models in Databricks spark clusters grants efficient use of compute and faster model training times.
Best orchestration platform
What do you like best about the product?
Databricks lakehouse helped us orchestre data for around 5000 data pipelines. It is very easy as it is config driven framework. We got onboarded easily migrated from airflow

The documentation can be made more better. When it was new there was not enough documentation.
