Easy to use managed MongoDB
What do you like best about the product?
No administrative overhead; use the DB, and we do not have to worry about managing instances, networks, etc. Atlas also supplies a minimal web interface that allows performing some actions on the data itself. The dashboards are very useful, and we are also using the alerting system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am missing the possibility of MFA for users (but this is probably also a part of the MongoDB infrastructure). In the dashboards - I would like to have better ways of diving into each database (Some metrics are only available to the cluster as a whole)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is our single database, and it allows us a very fast development cycle. Also, we are a small company and do not have to have a DBA as a part of the small team. Mongo is easy to use and has very good documentation.

Hassle-free cloud-based Mongo
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing with Atlas is that you can have a cloud-based instance of MongoDB up and running in 2 minutes for free.
You can also choose where you want to place your servers from a list of cloud providers (HAQM and Google included).
You can also choose where you want to place your servers from a list of cloud providers (HAQM and Google included).
What do you dislike about the product?
Security configurations can be hard to understand.
Better resources to edit data stored in the database would also be helpful.
The Web interface is not among the best I´ve seen.

The Web interface is not among the best I´ve seen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I´ve used MongoDB Atlas to store documents with data that is accessible through my Web APIs. The main benefit I´ve noticed is the ability to store data kept by my microservices easily with little coding.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend it to my students as the easiest way to have Mongo up and running. You should also try it.
Managed MongoDB Hosting
What do you like best about the product?
Easy creation of staging environment and clusters to handle the load on your web service.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is a bit on the higher side, but being a serverless solution it's somewhat justifiable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting and managing multiple MongoDB instances.
mLab was a good scalable MongoDB database as a service, but it has now been migrated to Atlas
What do you like best about the product?
mLab worked perfectly well and was less complicated to manage and integrate with than services like IBM Compose. mLab was acquired by MongoDB Inc itself and has, since early 2021, been all migrated to Atlas.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was trouble on occasions with the deprecation of the underlying MongoDB version we were using, which caused us to have to migrate quickly to a new version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem mLab solved was allowing us to move MongoDB to the cloud, have it scalable when needed. We also wanted to offload the complexity of hardware, infrastructure and sharding etc.
Best NoSQL Cloud Database
What do you like best about the product?
Very useful in quickly deploying an application. Atlas is ideal for the development environment as it reduces the load on our computer or the need for managing MongoDB. It also allows connecting from GUI apps like Compass, and we could filter connection requests based on IP address which gives more security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since the mongo is not locally available, it will be a bit slow, but you could cache the frequently required data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making development environment more flexible and collaborative and easily managable using cloud storage of MongoDB.
fully managed cloud database
What do you like best about the product?
MongoDB Atlas is speedy and also provides low latency. It also provides a simple interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
In MongoDB, Atlas search provides better search capability, but if we use $match or $sort after $search query, it drastically slows query.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In MongoDB, rather than using the external framework for a search like elastic search MongoDB Atlas provides Atlas search, which offers many features like fuzzy search and is also efficient to use.
Best database for JSONs
What do you like best about the product?
the connection with different software and easily understandable queries, easy setup, and connection, easily understandable UI, and tables display.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there are any dislikes about the MongoDB atlas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the freelancing project's databases handles by MongoDB atlas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definentally recommends for use.
NOSQL database
What do you like best about the product?
MongoDB Atlas provides free 512 MB storage with Shared RAM
It Provides analytics also profile to see uses

What do you dislike about the product?
When we search data with regex in extensive collection data. That time they little bit slove.
And that pricing model is costly.
And that pricing model is costly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Querying a dataset is not very intuitive, so I think that it can be improved.
Best NoSQL cloud database
What do you like best about the product?
MongoDB is a premium database system, and it is capable of dynamic scaling, and it is very easy to use and implement on the project. We are using MongoDB Atlas as it reduces management costs and time. The best thing is data backup, cluster, multi-region instances, strong authentication, and encryption features. There are free and trial plans for test purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most irritating thing is its cost, if someone is buying their plan have to pay a hefty amount. Other than that i dont think there's anything to dislike about MongoDb Atlas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Yes, it is really good for database admin operations that need high speed. With NoSQL, you can create records faster in comparison to SQL databases. With MongoDB Atlas, it becomes easy for backend connection. We can store huge amounts of customer's data with high security.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes, it is highly capable of doing all the necessary things required in an organization. You can opt for this if you want the ease of storing the data.
Best Cloud database hosting for MongoDB
What do you like best about the product?
it's a fully-managed database as a service platform. Replication and sharding are some of the best features I like about MongoDB atlas.
What do you dislike about the product?
atlas search is very efficient but in some of the use cases, it's don't work as efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
in MongoDB atlas, I like atlast search, no need to use another service like elasticsearch for searching purposes.
