Flexible Platform that Provides Enough Standardization
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan provides business teams with a flexible platform in which they are able to easily model new use cases and add enhancements to existing models. The platform adds the additional benefit of standardization across the models which ensures ease of maintenance and cuts down on admin work for teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Modeling needs to be thoughtful from the start of implementation of new models as workspace can become an issue if model builders don't think through design and sparsity before they execute.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan allows our users to take advantage of standardization across different models which greatly reduces the time they spend managing updates to spreadsheets and refocus on actual planning and analysis.

What do you like best about the product?
What sets it parat is the ease of implementation. The platform offers extensive customization options for models to meet specific needs of the organization, and integrating business logic is simple and efficient. This not only improves the user experience but also makes model maintenance easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The New UX has certainly enhanced dashboarding experience compared to classic dashboards, but it still lags behind some of the more advanced platforms available today. Another thing that i dislike about Anaplan is when many users are running processes simultaneously, model may slow down.A naplan executes one action at a time and places next in a queue, which can create delays, especially if scheduled imports are happening at the same time. During imports the model becomes inaccessible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan is addressing key operational challenges by significantly reducing the time spent on account tiering and assigning account ownership. This streamlined process enables faster decision-making and greater efficiency. Additionally, Anaplan has optimized the way we assign quotas to sales reps, ensuring a more accurate andefficient distribution of teh targets. These improvements not only save time but also enhance overall productivity, allowing the team to focus more on strategic initiatives rather than manual tasks

What do you dislike about the product?
Limited documentation and enablement for the new Applications
Impossibility to choose between Polaris vs Classic engine ahead of the implementation (as a result of an analysis of the data)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can solve really detailed and complex solutions (eg: production scheduling thanks to its optimiser) or multi-variable statistical forecast (thanks to ML) and also, can connect the whole process, from Actual Data ingestion and analytics, to demand forecast (statistical, sales-driven, consensus...) to Inventory Planning and Optimisation, Production and MRP throguh multivel BOM. So, in short: can be detailed and go in depth at each step of the process, and can also connect all the steps creating a integrated and seamless solution with all kind of reports, alerts and data visualisation.
Anaplan: Scalable and flexible - best for non-standard use cases
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan's flexibility is the best thing about it. This is particularly helpful in use cases that are not stnadard and can't be catered to via your typical out of the box technology solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan has a high cost to it, particularly around licensing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan is helping us centralize a historically disjointed planning process. This has allowed us to gain process efficiencies and pull in the reigns on a process that has long been difficult to manage. Not only has this brought detailed refinement, but it also has saved countless hours within our process.
Anaplan: A Flexible and Robust Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan’s flexibility and ability to handle complex, multi-dimensional models are among its best features. It leverages multi-dimensionality and advanced formula referencing for real time calculations and outputs. It has an active community and extensive learning academy with courses going over various topics and best practices, which happen to help with the building process that can be challenging.
What do you dislike about the product?
The major drawback for me is the lack of native integration with external systems, which has required us to do additional work to connect external data sources through API. Anaplan announced however the upcoming release of the Anaplan Data Orchestrator (ADO) which I hope will address this limitation by improving data integration and orchestration native capabilities.

Anaplan has helped clients solve numerous challenges by providing a robust, scalable, and flexible platform that transforms how businesses plan and operate. It delivered significant value to clients by streamlining their planning processes, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and enabling more agile, data-driven operations. Some of the key problems Anaplan has addressed for clients include: Eliminating Siloed Planning, Automating Manual Processes, Enabling Real-Time Scenario Planning, Enhancing Forecasting Accuracy, Scaling to Meet Business Growth and Improving Collaboration.

Seamless planning and on the fly results for scenario based planning. It can be easily integrated with various other platforms. Does enable you to utilize AI/ ML for planning.

1) Anaplan customer success is highly engaged with their customers in order to drive successful implementation and utilisation of the product

1) Speed of system may be impacted the greater the complexity and granularity of calculations

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We help to implement supply chain planning solutions for our customers on Anaplan. As different companies / industries have different physical supply chains, the flexibility of Anaplan allows us to meet a majority of our customer needs, enabling them to collaborate and plan at the right granularity, and with the right processes.

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan does a great job allowing a customer to customize and connect every aspect of planning across their organization. The user experience is a lot smoother and cleaner than other competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
New features sometimes feel rushed or oversold to clients. Leaving the devlopment team struggling to meet client expectations. Workflow capabilities greatly lacking compared to competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan helps our customers take control of their Budgeting and Forecasting processes. This often involves replacing a largely disconnected and manual process within excel with dynamic and connected dashboards that show real time insights across the organization.
Connected Planning Solution on Steroids
What do you like best about the product?
diffferent functions can work together in same platform on same plan. Its not hardcoded for specific department, but solutions can be built like lego on top. Easy to learn and use for daily or monthly planning processes. Product support is responsive and solves most issues in2-3 days.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need new features to stay upto dat with market- AI components and integration capabilities with ESG, other environments. Quick to implement, but as modular design a lot of things can go wrong if not implemented correctly.

We implement Anaplan for various Use cases across clients. Our team of 200 developers across 3 regions help us with quick delivery and deployment

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan's flexibility allows for custom modeling solutions. Finance teams can plan in models tailed specifically to their needs. Source ERP to Anaplan integration can be automated using Anaplan Connect or other third party integration platforms. Numerous users can plan in a model simultaneously.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan's flexibility is both a blessing and a curse. Models need to be developed and maintained by model building experts that fully understand the business requirements. Models built without sufficient skill on the part of the model builders, or without sufficient input and oversight from the business, can result in implementation failure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan has streamlined business planning consolidation and workbook version control. The headaches associated with combining / error handling dozens of excel based budget models have been alleviated. Models are refreshed daily via SAP BW integration with Actuals results, and finance teams can determine when to export plan data back to SAP BW.
