DIY Data
What do you like best about the product?
Love the breadth and depth of the data Heap offers, and how that can be pulled in to Salesforce. This allows my team to better monitor client activity, and get ahead of any issues that could impact a renewal or upsell.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is SO MUCH that Heap can do and it can be overwhelming to customize, especially for someone like me who does not come from a product or engineering background.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap allows us to see what our customers care about. Who is logging in to our platform and when? What sorts of activities are they doing there; what matters to them? This allows our Customer Success and Sales teams to better customize customer lifecycles and touchpoints, as well as get ahead of any issues for renewals or upsells.

Easy to use and beneficial for my team
What do you like best about the product?
UI of the dashboard is very intuitive and customizable. Seeing a snapshot of the chart before I go into it can stop me from even needing to go into it. Navigating between different dashboards is very easy to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
The account overview section is a little jarring at first, but you get used to it. Most of the negativity comes from how my org has set it up, but it's a work in progress and Heap has made it easier to clean.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest problem was that we had absolutely no metrics on our Help Center usage. Heap has enabled us to measure things like common searches so that the content we're creating can be effective for our customers.
Heap tells you pretty much everything you need/want to know!
What do you like best about the product?
Most helpful about Heap is that it's easier for our Engineers and developers to install & we can retroactively go back and look at most actions. I also love I can track users' actions from CTA click to visit to more detailed actions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI takes a while to get used to. You have to really know the user flows at a very detailed level to create some of the correct charts. The "helps" on the side are actually helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me solve what happens after someone clicks a CTA & if they take designated actions.
Good tool to collect analytics and user journy
What do you like best about the product?
light and quick, cusomizable. easy to setup
What do you dislike about the product?
doesn't support shadow dom, we use react shadow dom, and we had to do hack to make it work on our app
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
getting feedback about new features without troubles
An excellent Analytics software without the need for dev support
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent user interface with intuitive reporting capabilities
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing data continuity can be tricky as it relies heavily on scraping website components
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The business is able to efficiently analyze large amounts of data across many team with relatively low training requirements
The best product analytics tool I've used by far
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is VERY flexible and allows you to create a wide variety of queries, graphs and searches. Unlike other tools (Gainsight, churnzero, looker, google analytic products), you have full control of what you want to query and how it will be displayed
What do you dislike about the product?
Mobile support leaves a bit to be desired (no Flutter support) and the huge flexibility and variety is a bit of a crux in the beginning - it's kinda hard to jump into it, but that is to be expected when you have so many options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With heap, we can track product adoption and usage trends and compare the effect of specific delivered features on overall retention trends. Journey tracking is also useful to see how users navigate flows and for debugging them.
It's just reliable and very helpful in our decision making
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to track almost all of user interactions and ease of use of the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe more support for ShadowDOM will be beneficial for us. maybe other companies too who's using the same tech.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps with making us informed decision based on the data presented to us by Heap.
Great tool to help understand our users' needs and behaviors
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to create charts and graphs using Heap. I like that you can track what a user clicked on before or after doing an action. It really helps put into context what the user is doing and makes Heap a really powerful tool
What do you dislike about the product?
Would sometimes need help from developers to correctly identify page and screen elements to create events that can be tracked, but these are rare times so it's not really a big issue
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap helps us know what the most used features are, and what patterns our users have when using them. It helps us improve our workflows and find bottlenecks, or validate our solution.
Heap is great! Know what you want to know
What do you like best about the product?
Heap has a lot of capabilities, a few perfect ones I've listed below
- THE most significant thing I like about heap is that there's not a lot of definition needed to start capturing data; it just does it for you, and you can go on hunches to find patterns
- Another thing is that it offers a wide range of charting capabilities for different use cases
- Live feed is great to see just to check if everything is working/see live interactions
- Visual labeling is a great tool to quickly get set up, especially for beginners, so they don't have to dig into the DOM to find out specific classes/id's to target events at

What do you dislike about the product?
A few things I think it could improve on.
- As a user, you have to REALLY know what type of insights you want to derive from heap since it captures pretty much everything. Using heap without knowing what you want won't really reap any benefits
- Another thing is getting started is a bit standard / one size fits all, which is usually not true for most companies. For eg. it has funnel analysis/retention playbooks, but its only a basic use case for most people it won't suffice to get insightful or, better yet, actionable data

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heaps is a great tool to help us understand how users are engaging with our platform interacting with it and where they hit points of friction. It helps us enumerate myriad interactions that can be formed into patterns to identify issues in the user experience. It helps us inform our product decisions and identify things that need to be prioritized
What a heap of data
What do you like best about the product?
We previously used DataDog to understand user behavior and system behavior of our applications, but the introduction of Heap has made the product teams life tenfold easier to understand our user interactions and make decisions on which features are helpful, what customers like and the pain points of the application. Viewing historical actions for undefined events is a significant benefit for our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are having some issues with getting it to work in shadow dom and interacting with iframes within the application, which Heap is aware of, and it would be nice if they could come up with a standard solution instead of us trying to HACK it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently building an application to enhance the user experience, and heap helped us massively understand which core parts of the application are contributing to customer pain points, making product decisions on which pages to sunset, and making design decisions on which components did not get used etc.
