Very helpful in tracking engagement and user analytics at our stage!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to easily build custom reports. I'm on the CS side so don't have a whole lot of technical abilities in this space typically. I love being able to see segments of users exactly how I'd like to without relying on others at our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we had historical data when standing this up. I also wish some of the graphs had an easier path to showing a list of users that fall into a certain segment more than just the first 5-10 or so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Heap, I have trustworthy data to know what features are being used the most and where I need to focus my time on the CS side of the house.

Easy to use and pretty comprehensive
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use, the visualisation is very logical and the filtering feels a lot more user-friendly than other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to maintain and quite a bit of work to update

Making it easy for non-technical/data teams to get instant insights

Unlock user behavior and visit history at a user level, which Google Analytics is not able to do

Some analysis and reports can only be seen within Heap but cannot be shared to Dashboard or downloaded
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MMM (media mix model) & MTA (multi attribution model). It uses heap data based on advanced machine learning algorithms to build the most accurate models taking marginal/incremental and full credit attribution into account and provide detailed insights on advertising effectiveness for better media planning and optimization
Heap is useful, but requires a lot of work and understanding upfront to create useful reports.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it requires very little involvement from the developers to create insightful reports, and I like that it offers multiple templates and suggestions to either improve the reports I make or gain more insight from them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how easy it is to create a report that does not measure what is intended. So I wish there was an easy way to validate exactly what the report is documenting or showing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap is allowing us to see where drop-off points in our longer workflows are, what are retention rate is for returning clients, and what features are being used the most.

Ease of use, visual display, simple to set up and collaborate

I don't think I use it regularly enough to have negatives, usually I just look at graphs that others set up

Getting clarity on product usage, tracking adoption over time

I like how easy is to identify users across moments; server-side and front-side events blend really easily
What do you dislike about the product?
Charts could be a little bit more custom. Also, I would really appreciate more clarity and more options regarding attribution models; in google analytics, is much easy and faster to use models such as time decay. Also, it would be awesome to have health-related metrics such as loading time, range clicks, etc...

Is helping me to export attribution to my data lake.
Great option for start ups!
What do you like best about the product?
They give you the ability to retroactively define an event and still see data associated with that event. This is amazing for start-ups that move quickly and really aren't sure what they need to track, allowing them to go back and retrieve data after they figured out the metric/event they want to track.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be a little complex for new users but there isn't much that can be done about that outside of maybe providing more onboarding. Besides that, there are usually some delays between creating custom events and see those as selectable options in the UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap is helping us to track and define actions that are happening on our public website. This allows us to better understand our users and how best to provide them with the answers they need.

I really enjoy creating reports in heap, it's very easy to navigate and update reports.

Would like the ability to use and/or within a report

Supercharged analytics
What do you like best about the product?
As a power user, you can find anything in the data. It's incredible.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure why Google login is so clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Heap to see performance of various sections of pages, especially when A/B testing.
Easiest way to gather and track metrics without bogging down engineers
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the data is there without engineering needing to explicitly track actions. Especially as a new hire who wants to look into historical data that wasn't important previously.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I have had difficulty comparing data by different segments more difficult than I would anticipate. Ex: mobile vs desktop usage for Userbase 1 and Userbase 2
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
our company had Heap installed, but wasn't using any metrics to inform decisions or measure success. Heap is critical for me aligning decisions to our goals and having that be informed by metrics.
