Trying to get it up to speed
What do you like best about the product?
It overwrites and unifies customer data once they login - the continuity is great. We look forward to linking it more with third party data
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not as structured and rigorous for product attribute data. It also had variances to Google Analytics on same KPIs, but those have improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Website performance analytics are easy, we're able to segment appropriately across marketing channels to look for high value engagement features that supply our lead generation pipeline

What do you like best about the product?
The customization is like google analytics on steroids, and the ease of use is unparalleled in this space. You no longer need to be a trained analytics expert to make a great report!
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit of it can be overwhelming at first, this is if you dont take the time to do the tutorials. Overall, the backend can be a bit messy if not clearly labeling report types. Mostly, these are things that companies need to define and are not so much heap issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want to know every possible detail about the platform we are building and especially the way customers interact with it. Who/what/when/where/why...heap is helping us answer these questions.

Allowing developers and product teams to come together and create meaningful metrics that can show how successful features are

There is a little bit of a learning curve (but that comes with all tools). Great product overall

Tracking user activity which translates into how successful a launch of a feature is.
Funnel analysis allows me to see where users are dropping off, and I can then iterate to reduce drop off.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that it is user-friendly. It is very easy to navigate and find information quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the lack of details that each action provides. I would love to see what products are removed from the cart and not just a product that was removed in general. This would be a great feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Heap to verify actions that our customers make on their accounts. It definitely helps to confirm information like when they changed their next ship date. Keeps the customers honest.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is better than Tableau!
Useful tool with a learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can create custom reports and add them to a dashboard. Previously I had only used Google Analytics and Data Studios.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first couple of days using Heap was super frustrating because I didn't quite understand how it worked, and my team members weren't available to show me. And I couldn't find any option to chat with a rep from Heap (only email, but it took a couple of days to hear back). But I was able to use their help articles and videos to learn enough to build the report I needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to build reports based on our site's content so we know what's working and what's not. I just built the reports recently, so I haven't had time to use the insights in a tangible way yet. But I am hoping these become reports that I can use as our "guiding light" for the content strategy going forward.

Great access to data about how people are using our website.

Any time our developers make a change to our site (happens daily), some report in Heap breaks based on the tagging and naming conventions in our code changing. So you really need your developers knowing how to build in a way that doesn't impact the data.

Knowing what users are doing on our site and how they interact with different features.

There is less need for engineering to be involved when adding in UI items to track

It doesn't track the iFrame filters of my product, so it was more challenging to set up

What do you like best about the product?
I was able to jump right in to Heap and start using it. I found it intuitive and easy to work with. It provides the data I need and I can easily export it for other purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything I dislike as it serves the purpose that I need it for. If I have to go deeper into the product in the future as an admin, my rating may change.

We have certain real time reporting that we need. Heap provides the data we need to do our jobs.
