Simple to use, broad scope of functionality
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to create a dashboard that's accessible for my entire team to review results of certain tools/products. Additionally, Heap makes it easy to surface quick data points as well as more in-depth analysis. It's great I can add quick descriptions so other folx can easily understand what they're looking at and the biggest takeaways.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that Heap caches so much – sometimes the tool can get really slow due to this. Also, I wish I could see event data for specific events while building out dashboards. I usually need to have two tabs open -- one where I'm searching the entire repository of events, and another where I'm building my current chart.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap is solving the problem of hosting all product analytics in a single space where all product-facing team members can easily access ad hoc. Heap's ease of use allows folx on the product team to quickly surface important data and results.

What do you like best about the product?
I used to look for different apps in order to keep track of quantitative and qualitative usage data analytics. Heap has proven to be the one tool that combines all my needs; I'm glad that they are constantly widening their offers and providing features that I need so I can not use heap instead of a multitude of different apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since the features are constantly being rolled out, you could find yourself in a not-so-optimal trial version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to use different apps for usage analytics, but heap really strives to combine all features into one singular product.
Great experience creating dashoards
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of different types of charts and options makes everything easier, and also the suggestions or the auto-select on the chart type when you filter or add your data
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's difficult to update the data from the filters you add. If you try to use the date range the data never got filtered right at least in my case
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doing some comparisons for AB tests inside our products, so we create charts and dashboards to see results in a better way

What do you like best about the product?
Speed to get up and running. Excellent customer support

You hit a soft limit after a certain number of events and it's not obvious why events don't show up on the heap dashboard

Data analytics and insights
Very smooth and user-friendly functionality
What do you like best about the product?
Very versatile and intuitive. That's crucial when working with complicated reports/data like GA and Tableau.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't a whole lot to complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using several different softwares for reporting – Hubspot, Tableau, Google Analytics to name a few. Heap helps us to pull all this data into a single source that's easily shareable with other stakeholders in the company.
Heap helps me stay efficient
What do you like best about the product?
I run reports often and it's great to have those saved reports already running. I can quickly and easily view trends

The site does seem a bit cluttered. Wish it was a more seamless view.

Sometimes overload of features/similar features so I'm not sure which ones to use

Heap is good, not great
What do you like best about the product?
I like the sheer * amount * of information I can access with Heap. I can parse out a lot of data and gain a ton of insight by using this tool. I also enjoy the dashboards, and that I can create my own for the charts and funnels that are relevant to my work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two things come to mind: first, I don't find it overly intuitive to use. As someone who works primarily in social media and copywriting, running data analyses isn't my #1 skill, but it's still a necessary part of my job; so some of the more technical aspects of the tool make it seem unnecessarily complicated (and a lot of times, I feel like I need to confirm my queries with people who are more well-versed in the tool). Second, I've been hamstringed by queries simply... not loading the data I need it to. I've reached out to CX about this and their response has been that there's simply too much data for the query to run successfully, which is unacceptable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap helps me determine how much traffic our social media posts are driving to our marketplace, and therefore how much of an impact our work is having on GMV. I can also analyze a specific post through our UTM links.
Convenient for simple data
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to stand up a chart or dashboard with standard analytics (session count, conversion rates, A/B tests). I use the live data feed for QAing event tagging and for building dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Heap can be glitchy. Pop up modals/panels can resize in funky ways. I wish I had the ability to start a 'week' at my choice of day, rather than Heap automated week durations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap enables me and my team to gain visibility into product & funnel performance. It makes our decisions data-driven. We're currently exploring session replay to layer qualitative to the quantitative.
Easy to find insights :)
What do you like best about the product?
As a sales leader, I've found Heap Analytics to be an incredibly valuable tool for understanding how our users are engaging with our digital products. What I love most about Heap is how easy it is to use, even for non-technical team members (me). With Heap, we can automatically capture and analyze user behavior in real-time, which allows us to make data-driven decisions that drive business growth
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really so far! Sometimes takes a few extra minutes to refresh, but overall, solid!

Identifying who specific users are in our product so that we're reaching out to those who meet certain criteria in the prdoduct.
