Does the job, but pricey
What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx does a good job of self documenting complex ETL processes and making them repeatable across team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing of the software is extremely high, limiting companies looking for people with alteryx skills.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performing data ETL processes prior to using tableau for data visualization. Benefits are self documentation and repeatability.

Being able to work through different complexities based on new scenarios of the business.
Great for data manipulation
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can quickly merge files and transform them, add columns, etc. all in the same workflow and I can save my workflows to do it again
What do you dislike about the product?
Kind of a weird interface with the icon placement and the left to right drag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transforming data for tableau
Alteryx making data processing Easy
What do you like best about the product?
The suite of tools at disposal gives immense control to users with what they can do.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial steep learning curve might sometimes discourage users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

End to end analytics in a single run...
What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty straightforward to get a grasp on your companies data, either it's small data like surveys or
big data like millions of credit card transactions or IoT sensor data....
In a single solution, Alteryx Designer you can automate an ETL process, an interactive report or a full predictive/prescriptive model. Rerun without a hassle, turn it into an API and share or even deploy it in a few minutes thru a scoring engine, it is just unbelievable...

What do you dislike about the product?
Should be able to utilize my computer's GPU cores instead of only CPU cores...
Some additional automated data prepping like parsing HTML tables is needed for ease of use.
There are a lot of predictive, time-series, clustering modelling options ok, but additional automated modelling and hyper-parameter tuning without coding is needed...

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Alteryx for analytics driven management consulting projects, data quality scoring and cleansing followed by data enrichment using Census or spatial (location intelligence) data... This then become an input into time-series forecasting or predictive models and then to linear, mixed integer optimization models...

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Alteryx is super easy to learn, has well suited in-database capabilities to handle a lot of tasks a lot faster and cheaper than the competitors... You don't need to license and additional server for claculations.
All expensive calculations can be handled throu your existing investments like MySQL, SQL Server, Teradata, Orcale, SAP Hana, Hadoop etc.

Ideal for someone with less SQL expereince
What do you like best about the product?
drag and drop , R capabilities, creating apps
What do you dislike about the product?
Slower , more caching options would help
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
all ad hoc analysis, building apps for users , data discovery
Alteryx brings the Visio-like workflow paradigm to complex data normalization.
What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx connects the dots better than any data mining/self-service program I know. It handles a lot of different data sources very easily (whether a flat file, OLAP cube, or database) and allows for normalization and data cleansing of multiple data sets. If your organization has several different systems of record, data feeds and master data tables, Alteryx will allow you to sort it all out without rewriting upstream programs or redesigning complex systems of record already in place.'
What makes it a pleasure to use is its Visio-like workflow layout - you can easily "connect" the process of your overall business workflow to a sub-process within Alteryx which takes you though each step like a flowchart.

What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't handle the ETL aspect very well since it's not really a database, and it doesn't have a very intuitive way to handle scheduling of workflow operations, and it doesn't have a section to manage things like lookup tables from a systemwide perspective. There is a fairly high learning curve considering the program is meant for non-experts. This product is most effectively used by data analysts, business analysts, and process/product owners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing disparate databases, systems of records, and transactional information into a harmonized end result that can be easily digested within BI tools and as well as end-user consumption.
Great Data Blending and Analytics Software and

ease of use, versatile, flexible. easy to connect to data source, foster data analytics collaboration and enhance automated workflow and reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
in fact, not much that I dislike. insufficient plug-in with open source coding and inadequate data visualization tools and support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
integrate data, analyze data, report data and create insights with automated workflow to be shared with a large group of audience.
